Job Summary

The eCommerce SEO Specialist will own and execute SEO strategies that increase visibility, traffic, and conversion across Step2’s eCommerce ecosystem. S/he will analyze performance, identify growth opportunities, and work cross-functionally with content, creative, and technical teams to optimize and elevate our online presence.

Job Duties

Develop and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to support Step2’s DTC and retail partner growth
Optimize product detail pages, category content, blog content, and metadata for SEO performance
Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and SEO audits to identify content gaps and improvement opportunities
Monitor, analyze and report on SEO performance and campaign success, using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEM tools, and present / translate results, trends, and growth opportunities to stakeholders across marketing and leadership teams into actionable recommendations
Collaborate with eCommerce, creative, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are applied across site launches, updates, and campaigns
Analyze web traffic, search trends, and user behavior to make data-backed recommendations that drive engagement and sales
Track industry trends, developments, search engine algorithm updates/changes and emerging digital trends to maintain the effectiveness and compliance of our strategies and ensure Step2 maintains a competitive online presence
Assist in developing SEM strategies in partnership with paid media resources to create a cohesive search engine rite engaging, optimized web content that enhances visibility and supports brand voice across Step2’s eCommerce platforms
Design and execute SEO-focused online campaigns to drive traffic and increase product discoverability
Conduct in-depth competitive analysis and keyword research to identify ranking opportunities and improve content performance
Continuously optimize on-site content, including landing pages, product descriptions and blog posts, to align with SEO best practices and evolving search trends
Implement SEO strategies aligned with performance goals, collaborating closely with digital, content and development teams
Other tasks or projects assigned as necessary

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of hands-on SEO experience in an eCommerce or DTC environment
Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)
Experience with keyword research, SEO auditing, and performance reporting
Solid understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO principles
Experience with or knowledge of AI SEO content production a plus
Familiarity with HTML, structured data, and CMS platforms (Shopify, WordPress, etc.) is a plus
Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
Excellent written, verbal, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong capacity to cultivate and sustain productive professional relationships

Work Environment

This position will perform most job duties in an office environment where using a computer, software applications, telephone, printer, etc. are essential.
