Who’s the business

Zanda is partnering with a rapidly scaling, digitally native e-commerce business with a long-established operating history and a highly trusted consumer brand. The business has scaled significantly, going from $25 million to $300 million over the last few years, to support geographic expansion and continued operational investment.

They are now looking for a VP of Finance who has supported or driven scaling efforts in similar e-commerce or digitally native consumer companies, with experience in taking a business from strong middle-market revenue to approaching or exceeding $1B in sales. They will provide financial leadership that supports aggressive growth targets, operational excellence, and the strengthening of processes and systems necessary for a rapidly expanding business.

What experiences you will gain

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to define financial strategy to support long-term growth and profitability.
• Drive strategic initiatives such as expansion planning, pricing strategy, and investment prioritization.
• Lead financial planning & analysis (FP&A), forecasting, quarterly business reviews, and annual budgeting.
• Develop and report key performance indicators and financial dashboards aligned with growth and unit economics.
• Build scalable financial infrastructure, controls, and processes suitable for a high-growth e-commerce organization.
• Oversee accounting practices, budgeting tools, financial systems, metrics, and internal reporting standards.
• Optimize working capital, inventory financing, and cash flow for expanded operational footprint.
• Support capital allocation decisions relating to distribution, digital investments, and customer experience enhancements.

What background should you have before you press apply!

• 10+ years of senior finance leadership, including roles with P&L accountability (e.g., VP Finance, Head of Finance).
• Proven success in e-commerce or digitally enabled consumer businesses, ideally those that have scaled from ~$200–300M toward or above $1B in annual revenue.
• Strong background in FP&A, financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting frameworks in high-growth companies.
• Deep understanding of e-commerce economics: CAC/LTV, fulfillment costs, inventory management, margin optimization, pricing strategy.
• Exceptional business partnering skills with the ability to influence across functions.
• Track record of building and managing teams and implementing finance systems to match organizational growth.
• Experience with ERP/financial systems optimization, dashboards and reporting tools compatible with scale-up environments.
