Job Summary
The Sales Director – Hospital Systems is a senior leader responsible for driving growth and adoption of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) diagnostic services across hospital systems. This role builds relationships with hospital executives and department heads, works with independent contractor sales representatives, and collaborates with internal teams to position the company as a leader in molecular diagnostics.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- May provide guidance and mentorship to independent contractor sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with independent contractor reps to expand the company’s presence in hospital systems.
- Build relationships with administrators, lab leadership, and department heads in areas such as Infectious Disease, Pulmonology, Critical Care, and Urology.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans, coordinating with marketing, sales, and internal teams.
- Lead new account setup, clinician/customer meetings, training sessions, and educational events.
- Support research initiatives and product positioning with internal teams.
- Educate hospital staff on NGS solutions and their advantages over traditional methods.
- Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and professional associations.
- Oversee multi-state territories (focus on Florida, Texas, California, Georgia) while supporting national expansion.
- Duties may evolve over time.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Experience with hospital systems and independent sales contractors.
- Knowledge of molecular diagnostics, microbiology, or infectious disease preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within assigned territories.
