Manager, Marketing Strategy and Planning

Jobs in this group are typically responsible for managing internal and external communications for the university. They develop and execute strategies for public relations, media outreach, and digital content to enhance visibility and engage with various audiences.

These roles are responsible for handling a range of tasks across various communications functions. Staff and leaders in these positions may engage in digital media management, graphic design, public relations, and other activities as needed to support comprehensive communications strategies.

Represents people leaders (hire/fire authority) with majority of time spent overseeing their area of responsibility. Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports.

Supervises support level employees. Sets goals and objectives for other employees within the Job Area. Develops solutions to a variety of routine problems, and escalates more complex issues to higher-level managers. Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: 4+ years relevant professional experience

Licensure: None.

Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

Position Compensation Range: $72,012.00 - $144,025.00 Annual
