The Hardware Engineering Directorate is seeking a skilled Digital Hardware Engineer II with expertise in digital electronics design and analysis to collaborate on cutting-edge technology aimed at missile guidance, video processing, and digital signal processing. Our technical landscape includes high-speed digital circuits, configurable logic, and complex multiprocessor systems.
Your Responsibilities
As part of the Effector Guidance Electronics Department, you will design digital electronic circuit cards and systems that are critical from proposal through production. These systems must perform under extreme conditions, varying from the cold vacuum of space to the depths of the ocean.
The Digital Hardware Engineer II will take charge of designing, analyzing, simulating, testing, and integrating digital electronic modules for missile applications. We are seeking candidates with robust experience in circuit card design, including hardware with processors, FPGAs, memory, and standard interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
This position is 100% ONSITE in Huntsville, Alabama.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in digital circuit design.
- Proven experience in developing and designing electronic circuits or multi-assembly systems.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance is required before your start date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing designs from block diagrams to complete hardware solutions with successful verification through testing and integration.
- Familiarity with PCB design processes and proficiency in using design tools for simulations.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics Design Creation tools like DxDesigner, xDX Designer VX, or Expedition.
- Expertise in PCB electronic circuit design software such as HyperLynx for signal integrity and analog simulations.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $130,000, based on experience and qualifications. Consideration is also given to individual performance and business unit performance. Hired applicants will have access to a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off.
