Director Performance Marketing
Our client is reshaping the way money moves—making payments smarter, faster, and more rewarding. They began by enabling people to pay large bills with credit cards to unlock rewards; now they;re building a financial super app that acts as a co‑pilot for every dollar. As a high‑growth fintech, they move fast, experiment boldly, and hire people who want to scale something meaningful from the ground up.
This is a hands‑on, in‑platform individual contributor role owning paid acquisition across major channels. You’ll run end‑to‑end campaigns, build a performance growth model, and partner with Product, Data, and Creative to drive efficient, measurable growth. As they scale, the role may expand to manage agencies or hire direct reports.
What You’ll Do
- Own paid acquisition across Google/YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Apple Search Ads, affiliates/partners based on performance.
- Build and maintain a growth model linking spend → cohort quality → LTV, payback, and margin to guide budget allocation.
- Lead campaign strategy and execution: targeting, bidding, landing pages, funnel optimization, creative testing, and audience expansion.
- Partner with Brand and Creative to create a repeatable creative testing system with clear briefs and rapid iteration.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data to implement robust attribution and measurement (pixel/CAPI/server-side events, MMP/CDP integrations, event taxonomy).
- Drive an experiment culture using incrementality tests, holdouts, geo tests, and lift studies.
- Own forecasting and reporting for leadership: weekly insights, monthly planning, and scenario modeling.
- Scale responsibly by optimizing CAC, improving cohort quality, and driving efficient growth as budgets increase.
- Help build the team and manage agencies as the organization grows
What You Bring
- 8+ years in performance marketing or growth with hands‑on ownership of paid channels.
- Proven track record scaling spend while improving efficiency (CAC/payback) and cohort quality.
- Deep expertise in measurement: attribution, conversion APIs/server‑side tracking, funnels, cohorts, and incrementality.
- Strong data fluency with dashboards and metrics like LTV, retention curves, contribution margin, and cohort analysis (SQL is a plus).
- Experience working with Product and Engineering to implement clean, validated tracking.
- Strong creative judgment and the ability to run structured creative testing programs.
- A startup mindset: pragmatic, fast, high‑ownership, and comfortable building from zero
Bonus Points
- Startup or high‑growth experience.
- Hands‑on TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or other emerging platforms.
- Familiarity with advanced attribution tools and measurement setups.
- Interest in copywriting or creative brainstorming.
