Remote, hybrid or in-person| Part-Time (20-25 hours/week) with potential to grow into full-time role

ERI is one of the nation's leading digital strategy, design, and development firms, specializing in higher education and mission-driven organizations. We help colleges, universities, nonprofits, and purpose-driven institutions tell their stories, connect with their communities, and advance their missions through thoughtful digital experiences.

We're looking for a sharp, creative, adaptable person to join our team in a support role that touches everything from content creation to project coordination to social media strategy. This isn't a narrow role - it's a chance to learn how a digital agency works while contributing meaningfully to both internal initiatives and client work.

What you'll do

  • Support our Digital Strategist with content development, social media planning, and client communications
  • Create compelling visual and written content across multiple platforms and formats
  • Edit video content for social media, websites, and marketing campaigns
  • Design graphics and marketing materials that bring our clients' stories to life
  • Help manage website content migrations and updates
  • Assist with project coordination, tracking deliverables and keeping things moving
  • Jump in on "other duties as assigned" with enthusiasm and good humor (because that's how we roll at ERI)

What we're looking for

  • Strong writer with one-to-three (1-3) years professional experience who can adapt voice and style to different audiences and contexts
  • Graphic design skills - comfort with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
  • Video editing experience - ability to create engaging content for social media and web
  • Content creation mindset - you see opportunities to tell stories and aren't afraid to experiment
  • Smart, curious, and quick to learn new tools and approaches
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Good communicator who can work independently in a remote environment
  • Experience with social media management, content management systems such as WordPress, or project management tools is a plus

What we offer

  • The chance to work with leading colleges, universities, and mission-driven organizations across the country - institutions and causes that are making an impact.
  • Meaningful work that actually matters - helping organizations tell their stories and connect with the communities they serve.
  • A front-row seat to major digital initiatives, from comprehensive website redesigns to strategic communications campaigns to brand development
  • Exposure to the full lifecycle of agency work - from strategy and creative development to execution and launch and beyond
  • Mentorship from a seasoned team that's been doing this work for 20 years and genuinely cares about delivering excellence, consistently
  • Flexible remote work arrangement that respects your time and life outside of work
  • Competitive hourly rate: $20-22/hour (20-25 hours/week)
  • Real opportunity to grow - this is a pathway to a full-time role ($40 - 45k per year + benefits based on experience)
  • Access to professional development opportunities and the chance to attend industry conferences

To apply: Send us your resume and a brief note (a brief cover letter - just tell us why this sounds interesting to you and why you’re a good fit) to [email protected]. Bonus points if you include a portfolio (graphic design, video, social media), writing samples, or projects you're proud of.
