Summary
The Sales Account Executive is the primary driver of new clients for our company, AdeptPlus. Your top priority is to identify and onboard new Water Conditioning clients by demonstrating how our highly valuable strategies and tactics will transform their business.
You are not just a salesperson; you are a strategic advisor. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from initial discovery and presenting marketing strategies to ensuring a seamless handoff to our production team. You will play a pivotal role in helping us dominate the water treatment niche.
In this role, you will manage high-intent inbound leads, generate new business through face-to-face networking at industry conferences, and execute targeted outbound outreach using a provided list of prequalified companies.
We are a 100% remote agency. While a majority of our team is based in the Chicago suburbs, you can be anywhere in the US.
Outcomes
- New Business Development: Drive net-new revenue by confidently articulating AdeptPlus's value proposition to Water Conditioning business owners.
- Vertical Mastery: Become a dedicated expert in the water conditioning/treatment industry, understanding the specific "pains" of these dealers and offering tailored solutions.
- Revenue Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas through a consultative, solution-based approach.
- Relationship Building: Maintain and build strong relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring they feel like our only client from the very first touchpoint.
- Pipeline Management: Manage your sales funnel efficiently using our CRM and project management systems to ensure no lead is left behind.
Role Competencies
- Consultative Sales & Negotiation: Able to work with clients to find "win/win" outcomes, moving prospects from "interested" to "onboarded" with confidence.
- Leadership & Management: Comfortable giving prospective clients (typically business owners) clear direction and providing a bold vision for their digital future.
- Strategic Communication: Excellent at leading presentations and meetings. You can explain complex digital marketing (SEO, PPC, Social) in a way that resonates with business owners.
- Problem Solver: Demonstrate the ability to quickly and creatively solve a prospect's business hurdles under pressure.
- Efficiency: Ability to follow and improve repeatable sales processes to keep our internal operations running lean.
- Emotional Intelligence: The capacity to handle interpersonal relationships with empathy, ensuring every prospect feels heard and valued.
Qualifications
- Sales Experience: 3-5+ years of full-cycle, quota-carrying sales experience, preferably in digital marketing agency services or the home services sector.
- Outbound Expertise: Proven track record in outbound prospecting and lead generation to build a consistent sales pipeline.
- Ability to Travel: Willingness and ability to attend 5-10 industry conferences per year to network and close deals.
- Marketing Knowledge: Strong understanding of web graphic design, content, SEO, PPC, and digital marketing.
- Vertical Familiarity: Previous experience in home services- such as water treatment, radon mitigation, chimney services, hearth products, or related trades is highly preferred.
- Education: Degree, certification, or equivalent years of experience in sales and marketing.
- Communication: Superior verbal and presentation skills; you must be a "native" to internet technology and comfortable selling digital solutions.

- CRM: Experience with HubSpot (or similar) for lead tracking.

Compensation
Compensation for this position includes a base salary of $40,000 plus commission, with an estimated first-year On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $97,500. We will provide a ramp-up period. While this provides a strong baseline for your first year, there is significant upside potential; we fully expect a high-performing Sales Account Executive to exceed these figures as they scale our presence and dominate the Water Conditioning niche.
Compensation for this position starts with a base salary of $40,000 plus commission, with an estimated first-year On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $97,500.
Beyond the salary and OTE compensation, we offer a premium benefits package that includes paid time off, sick days, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with high employer-paid contributions.
To support your success in a remote environment, we also provide annual reimbursements for your home office, internet, and cell phone service.
We will provide a structured ramp-up period to ensure you hit the ground running.
It is important to note that this $97,500 OTE is just the baseline; with significant upside potential and an uncapped environment, we fully expect a high-performing Sales Account Executive to exceed these figures as they scale our presence and dominate the home services niche.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
