Job Description
TheSVP,SMBDigitalSalesis responsible forbanking product sales to smalland medium-sizedbusinesscustomers,interactinginUS Bank'sdigital channels.This leader must be sales and customer-focused, andwilldriveopportunities forrevenuegrowth and optimizationof salesactivities.This leaderwillcollaborate with product and marketing partnerson launching new growth initiatives,and improvingoperational efficiency,productivity, andcontrols. This individual provides leadership to alargeteam ofdirectsales personnel, organized byproduct andacquisitionfunnelstage.This rolereportsdirectly to theSVP,Business BankingGTMand Business Development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Shape Direct Sales Strategy:Define the vision, strategic direction, and operational plans neededtoexceed customer expectations andsalesgoals.Coordinate between centralized sales supportteams, marketing,and product groupson strategic initiatives.Maintain awareness of the competitive environment and recommend strategies to increase sales performance and revenue.
- AccelerateRevenue Growth: Responsible for driving annual sales revenue growth, including forecasting performance and tracking results. Monitor sales, revenue, and funnel performance across products sales and customer acquisition funnel
- EnhanceSalesEffectiveness:Identifiesopportunities for efficiency and growth, and drives the development of collateral material, sales training, operational procedures, and systems requirements toensure sales personnel are set up for success.
- Build a High-Performing Sales Organization:Managea teamof 50+sales personneland leaders. Drivetalentmanagementand development.Make decisionsaroundstaffing, appraisals, promotions,salary,and terminations.
- Compliance:Ensurescompliance with all U.S. Bancorp policies and procedures such as the Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, informationsecurityand suspicious activity reporting requirements,etc.
Essential Qualifications
This is a senior level, highlyseasonedand experienced position requiring strong leadership and management skills.The position requires a thorough knowledge of sales concepts and the bank's productsin order torespond to customer inquiriesfrom smalland medium-sizedbusinesses,and drive sales revenue.
- 10 years ofbankingexperience
- 8 or more years ofsalesmanagement/leadership experience
- MBApreferred
- Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills.
- Proven experience in sales management and business development
- Knowledge ofbankingproducts
- Experience in team leadership, mentorship, and performance management
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical mindset, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and influence/partnership skills
- Good organizational and project management skills
- Proficiencyin CRM tools and sales analytics platforms

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00
