The PACE department provides education and training for adult learners during the day and evening in a wide variety of part-time and full-time program areas using delivery methods of live in-person, live online and online (asynchronous). Topics span a wide area, including management studies, human resources, project management, supply chain, information technology, marketing, and executive and corporate training.
- *Responsibilities**:
- Create, monitor, and coordinate activities on social media platforms.
- Update and maintain online student success profiles.
- Capture photos and videos for use on various media channels.
- Edit/enhance photos and create basic graphics for social media and print media.
- Research, write, and edit articles, web content, and other promotional materials.
- Edit web pages using the content management system (CMS).
- Coordinate internally and externally created print materials to ensure alignment with branding and messaging.
- Regularly update and maintain inventory levels of marketing materials.
- Support international travel marketing requirements and distribution of materials.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on social media usage, best practices, and integration with marketing and communications activities.
- Implement strategies and tactics outlined in the strategic marketing plan, responding to reviews, and actively engaging with the online community, to enhance PACE’s online reputation.
- Electronically track media coverage related to the organization, compiling data and insights for evaluation and reporting.
- Gather and analyze website usage rates using Google Analytics to assess online performance.
- Report on the progress of both short and long-range marketing goals, providing regular updates and insights to stakeholders.
- Build and nurture relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, fostering a collaborative approach to executing marketing initiatives.
- Supports student surveys using electronic survey software(s).
- *Qualifications**:
- University degree/diploma or college diploma, preferably related to marketing, public relations, or communications.
- Specialized training in electronic media communications and website management/development.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in a professional writing or content creation capacity (journalism, advertising, marketing, public relations).
- 1 to 3 years’ experience working with various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WordPress, and LinkedIn in a professional setting.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience with photography and/or videography in a professional setting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of layout, design, and branding best practices.
- A good working knowledge of the university environment is an asset.
- Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
- Must be able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the issues and experiences of adult students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of University of Winnipeg, PACE Professional Studies area an asset.
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage tight deadlines and frequent interruptions, and prioritize work assignments to meet fast turnover timelines.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong client service and relationship building skills.

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required.
- *The salary range for this position will be from $49,194.60 to $68,213.60 annually.
