Digital Communications Internship

Pay Rate: $14.25/hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the creation and scheduling of engaging email campaigns and SMS messaging through Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Develop innovative marketing strategies across various digital platforms to enhance brand visibility.
- Conduct in-depth competitive market research to inform digital content strategies.
- Acquire knowledge in digital advertising techniques, SEO, and analytics.
- Perform audits of web content to ensure it aligns with brand standards and objectives.
- Assist in designing eye-catching graphics for digital content.
- Represent Treasure Island Resort and Casino at a variety of on and off-site events during evenings and weekends.
- Commit to working 3 to 5 special events, including parades, concerts, fairs, and festivals to support property needs.
Each intern's specific duties may vary, providing a holistic learning experience to meet internship requirements.
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- Current enrollment in a 2 or 4-year post-secondary educational program pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
- Familiarity with email marketing software, content management systems like WordPress or Craft, UX design, and Email SPAM laws.
- Strong writing abilities.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CSS, XHTML, XML, Salesforce.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
- Detail-oriented and accurate in tasks.
- Highly organized and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.

REQUIRED TRAINING
- Complete Treasure Island guest service training.
- Any position-related training as determined by division director.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional walking and standing.
- Capability to independently lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
- Perform repetitive hand and wrist motions effectively.
- Good eye-hand coordination is required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Primarily work location is in the administration building, but may include exposure to the gaming floor, characterized by flashing lights, loud noises, and cigarette smoke, as well as outdoor events.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Extensive computer use is involved.
