Fast-growing residential and commercial pest management company focused on delivering environmentally responsible and highly effective solutions is seeking a Director of Finance & Transformation to join our leadership team. This is a strategic, high-impact role that will drive operational excellence, execute key initiatives, and accelerate value creation across the business.
Position Summary
As Director of Finance & Transformation, you will be a critical partner to the CFO and private equity operating partners, blending strategic oversight with hands-on execution. You will lead planning and forecasting processes, monitor financial performance, and deliver actionable insights to guide decision-making.
This role is ideal for a leader with portfolio company experience who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and is eager to influence both financial and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual budget planning, forecasting, and presentation processes.
- Interpret, explain, and present financial analysis and planning to leadership.
- Drive value creation projects, including M&A integration, synergy realization, and BI dashboard development.
- Prepare board and shareholder decks, senior leadership reports, and ad hoc presentations.
- Conduct scenario modeling to support portfolio growth and strategic decisions.
- Strengthen the closing process through analytical review and trend analysis.
- Establish processes for routine analytical reviews of financial and operational performance.
- Communicate performance trends, forecasts, and strategic implications using clear metrics.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Collaborate across all levels of the organization, demonstrating strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to tell a compelling story through data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to lead without direct authority.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with operations and commercial teams.
- Experience in a private equity portfolio company (PE PortCo) (highly preferred).
- Familiarity with PowerBI (preferred).
- Detail- and process-oriented, with ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of financial analysis experience in an operating company.
- BS/BA degree in Finance or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX (5 days per week).
- Previous experience managing direct reports.
- CPA or MBA (a plus).
- Offering $160-180k+ bonus and incentives
