We are currently seeking an eCommerce Lead who can be nice, will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey.

The eCommerce Lead is a member of our eCommerce team, reporting directly to the Director of eCommerce Operations.

The eCommerce Lead for Roots will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure and support steady state of eCommerce system processes to ensure a constant working eCommerce site and flow of orders.
  • Support the development of frontend changes and functionality of the site to meet the needs of the operational flow and backend systems such as order management, inventory, payment processes, order routing and shipping methods.
  • Act as the eCommerce systems expert to collaborate with external partners and departments including, Retail, DC, and IT teams to provide an accurate and seamless digital customer experience and fulfillment of all eCommerce orders.
  • Represents the interests of the eCommerce, Marketing & Customer Experience business units on a day-to-day basis and in various projects.
  • Work closely with the OMNI channel team and WMS team to identify and solve issues and asses overall impact to business.
  • Present and report on on-going eCommerce status to the rest of the business and identify and provide recommendations on the key issues and taking the guidance back to relevant teams.
  • Select, manage and support third party consultants, partners, and contractors.
  • Contribute to the execution of all phases of assigned projects from initiation to closure, managing timelines, budget, and scope for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure both the consumer and the store associate experience is best in class.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in managing projects with a focus on consumer data and interconnected API driven systems (preferably with a focus on Ecommerce, Contact Centers and Analytics).
  • Understanding of UX fundamentals that lead to high converting websites.
  • Practical experience and knowledge with techniques for managing, planning, resourcing, tracking, testing, and delivery of projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), eCommerce Platform software, OMS system and ecommerce payment methods including e-wallets and gift cards.
  • Experience working within agile, waterfall and hybrid environments.
  • Strong analysis, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent administrative, planning and organization skills.
