Do you thrive in diverse communities and love combining art, design, and storytelling for impact? We are looking for a creative, self-motivated **Digital Media Documenter** to join our team in documenting the people, landscapes, and stories of Land of Dreams - a multicultural urban farming initiative in Calgary.

This internship offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to community-based storytelling—through long-form interviews and short-form content—highlighting ecological landscapes and the lives of those who grow food in the city.

To qualify for this internship, you **must** meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a post-secondary graduate
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Applicants who do not meet these requirements will **not**be considered.
  • *What You'll Do**:
  • Capture high-quality videos and photographs of community members, urban farming activities, and ecological settings using both DSLR and smartphone
  • Conduct interviews and gather authentic stories with participants from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds (interpreters will be provided)
  • Work with Creative Director to document and create both long-form content for platforms like YouTube and websites short-form content (e.g. Instagram Reels, Facebook Stories) for social media engagement
  • Edit and produce photo and video content using tools like Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, and/or Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, Capcut, and Canva
  • Work closely with our creative director and team to ensure stories are captured ethically and with cultural sensitivity
  • Collaborate on storyboarding and digital media design for publications, online content,and exhibitions
  • *What We're Looking For**:
  • A post-secondary student in Digital Media, Communications, Visual Arts, Journalism, Film Studies, or a related field
  • Proficiency with DSLR cameras and smartphone videography
  • Experience in people and landscape photography
  • Strong storytelling and interviewing skills, with a focus on empathy and cross-cultural listening
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Photoshop), with bonus points for experience in DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, CapCut, and Canva
  • A good eye for design and experience in digital composition or content creation
  • Willingness to learn and grow—training and mentorship will be provided
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle
  • Must own both a DSLR camera and smartphone capable of high-quality video
