The Sr. Project Specialist (PMO), Marketing provides strategic program management support for all creative and production initiatives supporting The Home Depot Canada’s marketing department across owned and paid channels. This role, reporting to the Marketing Director, Creative & Production, facilitates the creation and high-level milestone tracking of large, cross-functional campaigns to monitor creative execution tasks and production projects. The PMO enables operational excellence by allocating internal tasks, monitoring campaign health, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and aligned with divisional priorities and business objectives. This role does not directly execute creative work but instead drives best-in-class project management practices and governance for the creative and production team.

Key Accountabilities

Project & Workflow SupportOversee the full portfolio of creative and production projects supporting marketing initiatives across owned and paid channels.

Develop, implement, and enforce project management methodologies, standards, and best practices (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) tailored to creative and production workflows (internal and external partners).

Provide guidance to creative and production teams on portfolio health, prioritization, and risk.

Continuously improve processes to drive efficiency, scalability, and quality in creative project delivery.

Develop and deliver training programs on project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Project Monitoring & ReportingCollect, analyze, and report on project data (timelines, budgets, delivery rates, campaign performance) to provide accurate, actionable insights and ensure accountability.

Maintain dashboards and reporting tools for leadership and cross-functional visibility.

Establish and maintain processes for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks and resolving issues that impact creative project timelines and budgets.

Collaborate with team leads to forecast resource needs and resolve allocation conflicts.

Required Skills

Strategic & analytical thinking; applies metrics or insights to drive improvements

Highly organized and able to distill information into clear direction for stakeholders

Strong communication & interpersonal skills, experience with change management

Project Management Expertise (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid; Workfront, JIRA, etc.)

Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Minimum Education

Relevant degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Years of Work Experience

5+ years of experience in program/project management, PMO, or cross-functional project leadership

Certifications

Accreditation in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred
