Our client, a cloud-based accounting and invoicing software designed primarily for small businesses, freelancers, and self-employed professionals, is looking to hire a full-time Senior Director, Product Marketing to join their team.
Your new role
As the Senior Director of Product Marketing, you will lead the strategy, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution for product portfolio. You will be responsible for deeply understanding our customers, our market, and our product capabilities—and using those insights to shape how the company presents value, drives adoption, and accelerates revenue growth. You will partner closely with Product, Growth, Sales, Customer Success, and Leadership to ensure strong cross-functional alignment. This is a highly visible leadership role that will influence company-wide strategy and is ideal for someone with long-term aspirations toward executive roles.
Responsibilities
● Product & Market Positioning: Own the positioning and messaging frameworks for product suite. Ensure we clearly articulate the differentiated value of our offerings across customer segments and competitive landscapes.
● Go-to-Market Leadership: Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new products, features, and packaging changes. Partner with Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure seamless cross-functional activation.
● Pricing & Packaging Partnership: Collaborate with Pricing, Product, and Finance on packaging design and price positioning to maximize adoption, expansion, and monetization opportunities.
● Customer & Market Insights: Drive qualitative and quantitative research efforts to understand customer needs, willingness-to-pay, buying behavior, and competitive threats. Translate insights into actionable recommendations for Product and Revenue teams.
● Enablement & Narrative Development: Build and maintain compelling narratives that enable Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to communicate company's value. Oversee creation of pitch materials, product decks, sales tools, and training content.
● Execution Leadership: Lead the execution of product marketing plans end-to-end—including launch readiness, messaging rollouts, adoption tracking, and post-launch optimization—ensuring all teams are aligned and accountable.
● Executive-Level Communication: Synthesize complex product, market, and customer insights into clear narratives for senior leadership. Provide regular updates, recommendations, and strategic perspectives that shape company-wide decision-making.
● Cross-Functional Influence: Serve as the connective tissue between Product and go-to-market teams, ensuring product strategy and market strategy move in lockstep. Influence product roadmap decisions with market and customer insights.
● Performance & Impact Measurement: Define key performance indicators for product marketing success. Monitor performance of launches, campaigns, and product adoption initiatives and present insights to senior leadership.
● Team Leadership: Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product marketing team capable of delivering excellent strategy, storytelling, and execution.
● Other duties may be assigned.
What you'll need to succeed
● 7+ years of experience in Pricing, Strategy, Product, Finance, or a related analytical role within a SaaS environment.
● Demonstrated experience in developing and managing pricing models, coupled with strong financial acumen.
● Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, including ARPU, LTV, churn, CAC, and elasticity.
● Proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence without authority.
● Experience with pricing experimentation and tools.
● Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools such as Looker is an asset.
● A high degree of agency; bias for action and strong follow-through.
