We are currently seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team.

  • *_Note: _**_this job may focus on one of two areas, web or social media performance. _
  • *We are open to filling this role across Canada, however, please note preference will be given to those that are located in BC or Toronto due to the proximity of our office locations. To be considered for this role, when applying, you must be eligible to work in Canada.**
  • *Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day**
  • **Digital Platform Management**:Supports the operation of all First West digital identities ensuring each channel effectively supports the brand strategy and business goals of the organization while creating best-in-class digital experiences and user-centered design.- **Websites**:Creates effective website information architecture and content that follows all SEO and accessibility best practices while ensuring that the voice and tone are in accordance with brand. Analyzes and identifies most valuable keywords and develops link building strategies. Prioritizes and executes the addition of new content, and/or changes to existing content. Supports all digital marketing and lead generation campaigns as required. Supports digital banking change management efforts with web content creation and EPM or Intercept deployment. Maintains and optimizes the organization’s branch and corporate office listings and hours or operation in various 3rd party business directories ensuring information details are always accurate.
  • **Social Media**:Supports the creation and distribution of quality, original digital content to promote our brand, products, and services on First West’s social media accounts. Creates and targets audiences and schedules posts to maximize social media exposure. Develops and tests different formats of social channel posts measuring interaction and audience engagement and makes modifications to social media plan as needed.
  • **Performance & Optimization**:Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to align and implement digital engagement and marketing campaigns that support the digital marketing strategy and promote First West brands, products, and services throughout the customer journey. Analyzes website traffic using various web analytics tools to improve user experience, content gaps, usability, lead generation, and conversion. Prepares website analytics and provides insights on website usage for various FWCU stakeholders as well as suggests solutions to measurably improve online content/web performance. Analyzes and interprets data from social media platforms and delivers engaging reports, dashboards, and presentations to various internal stakeholders. Drafts and documents procedures and maintains accuracy of team’s references and guidelines.
  • **Digital Marketing**:Champions digital experiences and seeks out new digital marketing opportunities for FWCU to raise brand awareness and drive engagement. Aware of web and social media trends and actively identifies forward-moving tactics to present and share digital content. Regularly and consistently seeks to understand member needs and supports and assists in the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that rely on the digital marketing team.
  • **Stakeholder Engagement **Serves as the primary point of contact for incoming requests for content creations or changes and liaises with internal stakeholders from all FWCU lines of business to develop landing pages or other digital content that support ongoing marketing campaigns, organizational initiatives, or member communication efforts. Documents and reports website issues and requests enhancements by liaising with vendor and/or credit union partner to resolve or complete.
  • *Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
  • College, Trade or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in marketing, communications, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years work experience in a digital marketing role focused on user experience
  • 2 to 3 years work experience in creating / managing website content with a focus on SEO and content optimization practices and experience managing business social media accounts
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, ability to work in an environment with internal and external counterparts
  • Ability to articulate a clear rationale for all design decisions that unites an exceptional knowledge of UX/UI principles to user needs and business value
  • Keen eye for continually improving results with a focus on driving impact
