- *Job Summary**:
Reporting to Equinix’s Chief Marketing Officer, the Vice President of Digital Marketing and Demand Generation is responsible for building and delivering Equinix’s digital marketing and sales presence to drive purchasing behavior for Equinix products and services. This executive will manage and help scale an organization responsible for creating global demand generation campaigns and digital advertising that grow the sales funnel. They will also o\wn strategy for web design, demand generation and user experience, including the digital buyer’s journey across multiple cross-sell and up-sell paths.
- *Responsibilities**:
- *Develop and execute digital marketing strategy across all products**
- **Develop digital marketing strategies** to increase traffic and engagement with new, prospective customers, while also driving cross-selling opportunities in service to increasing pipeline and driving consumption of the wider Equinix platform.
- **Actively partner and collaborate with cross-functional partners** including public relations, social, creative, and PLG marketing teams to ensure a consistent message and focus across all digital touch points in service to driving pipeline and product-led growth.
- *Execute digital marketing programs and campaigns**
- **Drive global demand generation programs and campaigns **that build and accelerate revenue-driving activities; identifying critical areas of improvement across the funnel.
- **Lead the thinking for digital platform development**:Website content, ecommerce, community development, customer marketing, and website technology.
- **Articulate requirements for web design and user experience **for the digital marketing and buyer’s journey.
- *Co-design the digital customer journey**
- **Support this journey by driving awareness** of Equinix, engaging customers through offering trials, effective onboarding, in-app messaging, and an integrated customer experience.
- *Execute digital media and demand advertising to drive awareness**
- **Develop advertising strategies **that provide key insights, meaningful engagements and build the brand across our segmented targets.
- **Oversee and optimize demand generation budgets**
- *Define and own KPIs for digital marketing ROI**
- **Leverage the use of marketing analytics** to provide insights and make recommendations to reach the customer in new ways to improve marketing ROI recommendations and overall strategies.
- **Define and own KPIs for targets and growth**, including lead creation, lead flow, revenue, demand, traffic, site conversion, web design and buyer’s journey, retention, and engagement.
- *Knowledge and Experience sought**:
- Substantial marketing experience with strong digital experience with integrated media and marketing platforms
- Experience influencing and driving results in a highly matrixed environment
- Experience of digital customer journeys from initial awareness through purchase, upsell and post-sales care
- Deep understanding of the digital environment and evolving tools and platforms used to improve online presence and drive demand
- *Skills and Attributes sought**:
- Excellent leadership and management skills in leading sizable (30+) and diverse marketing teams
- Robust analytical and critical thinking capabilities and effective decision-making skills
- Collaborative - able to maneuver comfortably through complex organization dynamics and able to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
- Agile - Provide leadership and guidance to marketing teams in navigating changes and comfortable leading change in times of uncertainty and ambiguity
- Business Savvy - Know our business and be able to deliver the outcomes by working collaboratively with different functions across the Company
