Operations & Digital Marketing Coordinator

The Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau (CSSB) is the recognized authority in the cedar shake and shingle industry since 1915. CSSB as an association represents its cedar shake and shingle members throughout North America. Each year CSSB’s staff answer thousands of technical questions and product selection queries. Offering informed Certi-Wood® advice, the responsibility for educating the public and building code officials falls on the CSSB.

Operations

  • Answer incoming calls to CSSB from members/outside enquiries.
  • Filing vendors/members payables/receivables.
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Collections (requesting necessary information from bookkeeper).
  • Issuing membership certificate when payment received.
  • Membership update forms (Access database).
  • Account communications with members - ensuring policies & procedures are in place.
  • Tradeshows & AIA
  • Register & plan for tradeshows and coordinate with district managers.
  • Primary contact for AIA program/sign certificates, ensure compliance with program.
  • Assist in preparing PowerPoint presentations when needed for AIA.
  • Board Meetings/AGM - Assist in special events to secure boardrooms, registrations, transportation etc.
  • Assist with managing bureau documentation and employee travel requirements if necessary.
  • Other Duties - As assigned based on needs of the CSSB. Expandable role as needed.

Digital Marketing

  • Optimize, update, generate posts and manage our social digital channels.
  • Develop and coordinate digital marketing campaigns and content publishing calendars to support corporate objectives.
  • Plan, produce and publish a variety of digital content that drives engagement, brand awareness and increases audience reach.
  • Respond to reviews and feedback on various online channels from customers/viewers.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Computer Literate - Need to be fully competent in MS word, Excel and Power Point - database experience would be an asset.
  • Undergraduate diploma/degree or community college.
  • Previous experience in similar environment i.e., office administration & digital communication.
  • Fluent in English, written and oral - professional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects under strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and a team player.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for marketing and content creation.
  • Has valid BC Driver’s License and reliable vehicle to get to/from work and perform occasional errands.
  • Current passport or willingness to obtain same.
  • *Salary**: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
