Description The Digital Content Coordinator will play a pivotal role in creating and managing digital content across various platforms to drive engagement, enhance brand visibility, and support our marketing initiatives. This individual will be responsible for developing compelling content, managing flagship social media accounts, collaborating with work-study students and student ambassadors, and providing event support to ensure a cohesive and impactful online presence. Duties and Responsibilities • Develop and execute digital content strategies to promote brand awareness, drive website traffic, and engage our target audience. • Create and curate engaging content for our website, blog, social media channels, email newsletters, and other digital platforms. • Manage and maintain our flagship social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, monitoring, and responding to inquiries in a timely manner. • Supervise work-study students and student ambassadors to generate user-generated content, capture authentic experiences, and amplify our brand message. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and events, to ensure alignment between digital content initiatives and overall marketing objectives • Provide event support, including live coverage on social media, content creation for event promotions, and post-event recaps. • Monitor and analyze digital content performance metrics, such as engagement, reach, and conversion rates, to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital content creation, social media, and influencer marketing. • Ensure that all digital content aligns with brand guidelines, messaging, and values, maintaining consistency and quality across all channels. • Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and influencers to leverage opportunities for collaboration and co-marketing initiatives. Qualifications Education and Training • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in English, communications, or marketing • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (marketing, social media, advertising, website content) - in higher ed preferred. • Demonstrated experience crafting engaging, on-brand content. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Stellar writing and editing skills, appropriate to different mediums (screen, print, video, speeches) • The ability to balance art and science to produce user-friendly, on-brand content optimized for print, web, and other media. • Effective project management skills with demonstrated ability to set timelines, map milestones, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects with competing priorities. • A deep understanding of web technologies and applications, including social networking, social media tools, and communication trends. • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. • A proven capacity for working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. • The ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required. • Videography and photography skills are a plus. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions • Manual dexterity in order to operate a personal computer, printer, and other office equipment. • Able to stand and/or sit continually to perform essential job functions for the entire shift. • Able to independently travel throughout campus to complete tasks • Able to lift and deliver light-weight packages to faculty offices or other office buildings on campus • Able to see and hear to perform all required duties related to the position.
