Camp Tournesol is offering the position of Digital Media & Community Coordinator to a student for our Summer season In order to qualify for this position, you must be a student or recent graduate and be under 30 years old.
Join a leader in French summer camps in the GTA whose mission is to provide rich and engaging experiential French programs that support bilingualism, and help us continue to grow and expand our mission to support children in their bilingual journey.

We are looking for an avid social media user, dynamic writer, and communicator who is technology minded, and interested in all avenues of digital media
- *Work Hours**:9:00AM to 5:00PM with half hour unpaid lunch break (37.5 hours per week)
- *Internship Duration**:May to August. Full-time position for the duration of 16 weeks
- *Location**: Hybrid
- most times work will be remote except for visit to campus or the head office at Vaughan as needed (likely maximum of 2 days a week every two weeks. Our in-person campuses are located throughout the GTA._ (commute costs/gas will be reimbursed for campus visits.)_

- *What You Will Be Doing Every Day**:
Digital Media Communications Responsibilities
- Research relevant social media trends
- Planning content for the summer on all of our social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram).
- Working alongside the general manager and camp director to create social media strategies to help increase audiences throughout the summer.
- Reviewing social media KPIs and suggesting improvement as needed.
- Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics.
- Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares).
- Using social media to engage consumers, respond to questions or complaints, and to promote company initiatives.
- Assisting with the design of promotional materials.
- Capturing pictures and videos on our in-person summer camps.
- Communicating with the summer camp team to ensure content is being captured on-site daily.
- Reviewing sets of photographs and selecting the best results. Organizing all content received from summer camp leaders.
- Collaborate on other communication platforms such as website content and blogs.
- Ensuring that all communication platforms are up to date, work with the team to optimize them.
Client service responsibilities (occasionally when overflow)
- Communicate effectively to customers regarding account information, products, pricing, promotions, etc;
- Comprehension of internal registration system/ability to extract reports.
- Follow up on queries and determine which requests need to be escalated.
- Prepare material that will be shipped into camps, sort material and pack boxes as needed.
- *Qualifications**:
- Must be able to commute to Vaughan office location as well as different campuses around the GTA.
- Student working towards a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Arts or a related field.
- Social media savvy - previous experience managing professional social media platforms.
- Highly creative individual with experience in content creation
- Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
- Understanding of Social media Analytics tools.
- Strong analytical skill and understanding of social media KPIs.
- Excellent copywriting skills in English.
- Strong communicator: demonstrates understanding in customer relations through social media.
- Previous experience in Photography is a strong asset.
- Working knowledge of French is considered an asset
- Previous camp experience is considered an asset
