  • *Marketing Technical Product Specialist**

Annual salary: $ 64,100.00 - 69,200.00

  • *What you'll do**
  • Develops relationships with manufacturers and distributors of energy efficient products and technologies in order to:

screen and/or add new products; maintain database integrity, content and security; develop and maintain partner

relationships and agreements.

  • Provides technical, project, administrative and system support for the e.Catalog web site and database software such as:

coordinating and facilitating changes, enhancements, testing and implementation of new features or changes to the e.

software vendors deliver solutions to meet business requirements; coordinating, developing and conducting training and

familiarization sessions and related training materials; following up to ensure end user problems are resolved in a

satisfactory and timely manner.

  • Adds or modifies e.Catalog product and item listings and information where new or modified program, product or service

offerings occur by: meeting and discussing program, product or service plans and changes with other Conservation &

Energy Management (C&EM) staff; contacting new or existing manufacturers and suppliers to locate sources and supply

channels for new products or services; developing and implementing product/product line procedures and process

guidelines; responding to and resolving e.Catalog related customer, trade ally or supplier concerns and questions;

preparing various summary reports on software product/product line performance.

  • Monitors e.Catalog usage patterns and feedback from customers and others; researches and ensures product usage is

maximized; reviews and ensures catalogue listings, descriptions etc. meet product inclusion criteria in discussion with

C&EM technical staff and related suppliers and trade allies; follows up to update databases and interfacing software

  • Provides technical guidance, coordination and direction to other C&EM staff on e.Catalog operation, processes,

procedures, practices and policies.

  • Reviews and approves invoices for various services prior to managerial approval; provides input on projected and

proposed e.Catalog related changes, improvements, upgrades, advertising costs etc. for budget purposes.

  • Maintains currency with new product developments, energy use trends, product technologies, trade ally markets,

customer segments; attends conferences, trade shows and maintains contact with trade and industry representatives.

  • Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties that do not affect the rating of the job.
  • *What you bring**
  • Knowledge of principles of marketing, customer handling techniques and methods, relational database operation and

management, new and revised testing and implementation methods and procedures, project management, system

operation training and documentation, troubleshooting, report production procedures, training manual development,

  • of Technology or equivalent program in Marketing; plus Excel, Outlook, MS Office, internet browsers, search engines and

lighting.

  • A minimum of two (2) years of database and website management experience preferably combined with marketing

experience in product management, marketing and relationship development with manufacturers and distributors. A well

  • developed demonstrated operating knowledge of advanced database operation and computer system design. Well
  • developed oral, written, interpersonal and presentation communication, teamwork, problem solving and analytical skills.
