- *About the Role**
The position focuses on achieving excellence in four main accountabilities:
- **Brand Voice & Content Development**: Help maintain and evolve the Amii brand voice and tone across public-facing content.
- *Required Skills / Expertise** **Key Responsibilities**:
- *Campaign & Marketing Copy**
- Collaborates with Marketing Managers and Designers to shape messaging frameworks and creative direction
- Optimizes content for clarity, action, and accessibility
- *Brand Voice & Content Development**
- Helps evolve and maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels
- Contributes to content for blog posts, web pages, speaker notes, event scripts, and internal documents
- Proofreads and edits content from others to ensure quality and consistency
- Maintains shared writing resources, such as style guides and messaging documents
- Experiments with Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GrammarlyGO) to support brainstorming, drafting, and editing, while maintaining high standards for originality and voice
- *Collaboration & Editorial Support**
- Participates in brainstorming sessions and campaign planning meetings
- Provides writing and editing support to cross-functional teams as needed
- *Community Engagement**
- Monitors social media platforms regularly and responds to comments, questions, and messages in a timely and professional manner to foster positive brand relationships
- Manages live chat interactions, providing real-time audience support and engagement with website visitors
- Supports the planning and execution of organization-wide events that foster community engagement, build relationships, and create opportunities for meaningful connections and collaboration
- *Qualifications**:
- Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of professional writing or copywriting experience
- Proven ability to write across formats: digital, print, social, and editorial
- Experience working within an established brand voice
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Comfortable writing from briefs or stakeholder interviews
- Familiarity with SEO, accessibility standards, and writing for web
- Proficient in Google Workspace
- Basic knowledge of content management systems e.g., Storyblok (nice to have)
- *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)**:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail
- Deep understanding of tone, voice, and how to tailor messages to different audiences
- Ability to transform complex or technical ideas into simple, engaging copy
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Familiarity with project and content planning tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, etc.)
- Curious, creative, and comfortable giving and receiving feedback
- Committed to continuous improvement and staying up-to-date with writing best practices
- Familiarity with Generative AI writing tools and an understanding of their strengths, limitations, and ethical use in a content creation context
