Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Location: Huron County, ON (On-site | Relocation Required)

Compensation: $175,000 base + uncapped performance incentives

This role is with an established Canadian organization operating in the engineered building and construction space. The company has been in business for over 18 years, employs approximately 100 people, and operates across Canada, the United States, and select international markets. The business primarily sells through dealer and distribution networks while continuing to expand direct sales initiatives. The organization is entering a new growth phase and is investing in senior leadership to support long-term strategic expansion.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Sales & Marketing will lead sales and marketing strategy across North America, with growing international exposure. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening dealer networks, coaching and mentoring sales leadership, and aligning sales and marketing efforts to support continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Leadership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Drive year-over-year growth across Canadian and U.S. markets
  • Establish sales objectives, quotas, and performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a geographically distributed sales team
  • Strengthen accountability, performance management, and sales culture

Dealer Network & Market Expansion

  • Expand and optimize dealer and distribution networks
  • Identify underserved territories and secure new dealer partnerships
  • Maintain strong relationships with key dealers and strategic accounts
  • Support direct sales initiatives alongside dealer-driven revenue

Marketing Oversight & Alignment

  • Align sales and marketing strategies to support growth objectives
  • Provide leadership on brand positioning, lead generation, and digital strategy
  • Oversee CRM usage, reporting, and adoption
  • Collaborate with marketing on messaging, campaigns, and market presence

Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration

  • Partner with finance, operations, HR, and product teams
  • Support pricing strategies, forecasting, and commission structures
  • Provide regular performance reporting to executive leadership

Industry Representation

  • Represent the organization at trade shows, dealer conferences, and industry events
  • Build market presence and strategic industry relationships

Qualifications & Experience

  • Senior-level sales leadership experience (VP or equivalent)
  • Extensive background in sales management, market analysis, and strategic planning
  • Experience selling through dealer and distribution networks
  • Sales experience in both Canada and the United States
  • Background in construction, building materials, engineered products, or manufacturing
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing sales budgets
  • CRM expertise required
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and executive presence
