The Opportunity

As the Director of Digital and Technical Product Management for Omni Enablement, you will lead teams focused on the strategy, ideation, development, and performance of digital and technology products and experiences for USAA and its members. Your role will involve overseeing complex initiatives requiring confidentiality and enterprise-level visibility. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to lead a team tackling intricate problems while maintaining market awareness to maximize the product portfolio. Your focus will be on operational effectiveness, goal achievement, and enhancing performance across teams and product lines.

This position offers a flexible work environment with a requirement to be in the office 4 days per week, and it can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO; Charlotte, NC; Chesapeake, VA; or Tampa, FL. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • GenAI for Contact Center Enablement: Define and lead the product vision and roadmap for leveraging Generative AI to assist insurance agents in real-time during customer calls.
  • Automation of Processes: Utilize your experience to identify and automate manual processes, improving efficiency through digital solutions.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Ensure adherence to the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, emphasizing quality and systematic delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Attract, select, and develop a high-performing Digital or Technical Product Management team to meet product and experience goals.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily activities of the product management team, ensuring resource optimization and effective delivery.
  • End-to-End Product Management: Manage technology and digital product management activities across a product portfolio.
  • Strategic Development: Set new product strategies; define and align product roadmaps with business objectives.
  • Innovative Solutions: Drive business outcomes by introducing strategic thinking in digital and technology product solutions.
  • Data-Driven Methodologies: Implement methodologies for collecting data and member feedback to inform product decisions and enhance the user experience.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure successful product launches.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with business activities in compliance with established policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; or 4 years of related experience may substitute for education.
  • 8 years of experience in Digital/Technology Product Management, including roles in Strategy/Planning, User Experience, and Analytics; or 6 years with an Advanced degree.
  • 3 years of experience leading teams, including matrixed or cross-functional groups.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of technology/digital products, emerging platforms, and analytics techniques.
  • Experience working in Agile and Lean Product Development environments.
  • Knowledge of Experience Design and Human Centered Design principles.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated people management skills.

Compensation Information

The salary range for this position is: $143,320.00 - $273,930.00. USAA assesses market data to ensure competitive pay within this range.
