Marketing & Production Design Coordinator

Position Summary: We are seeking an ambitious, multi-talented creator to join the Panolam team. This is a unique hybrid role perfect for a recent graduate or early-career designer looking to gain broad experience in the manufacturing and design industry.
Unlike a standard graphic design role, you will be the operational hub connecting our Marketing, Digital Sales, and Samples departments. You will handle daily graphic production, ensure customer files are print-ready for our Digital Sales team, and serve as the critical communication liaison for our Samples division.
Key Responsibilities
1. Graphic Design & Brand Maintenance (40%)
- Website Management: Execute daily updates to the company website, ensuring new products, news, and technical documents are current.
- Collateral Creation: Design and layout marketing materials including brochures, sell sheets, and product packaging using Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Trade Show Support: Assist in the design and layout of large-format graphics and signage for trade show exhibits.
- Brand Stewardship: Ensure all visual materials adhere to Panolam brand guidelines.
2. Digital Sales & Production Support (30%)
- File Pre-Flighting: Review and edit customer-submitted artwork files to ensure they meet production standards (resolution, bleed, color mode).
- Production Liaison: Act as the bridge between the Digital Sales team and the production floor, fixing file errors immediately to prevent delays in the manufacturing cycle.
- Asset Management: Organize and maintain the digital asset library for the sales team.
3. Samples Department Coordination (30%)
- Field Sales Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between Field Sales Representatives and the Samples Department, ensuring urgent sample requests are prioritized and tracked.
- Workflow Optimization: Collaborate with plant staff to streamline the packing and shipping of samples.
- Future Leadership: Growth Opportunity – Eventually take ownership of the Samples workflow, overseeing inventory levels and coordinating directly with plant personnel to ensure efficient sample distribution.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent portfolio experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is required. Experience with CMS platforms (website updates) is a plus.
- Operational Mindset: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects (design vs. production vs. logistics) simultaneously.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to bridge the gap between corporate marketing, field sales, and plant operations.
