Senior Director of the Executive Office

Alexandria healthcare association (close to King Street Metro) is seeking experienced candidates for Senior Director of the Executive Office. NCPA fosters a dynamic and empowering work environment. We are a membership organization representing over 18,000 independent pharmacy owners, healthcare providers who are small business owners serving their communities.

The Senior Director of the Executive Office is a key member of the leadership team, providing strategic support to the CEO and Board of Directors. This role ensures alignment across departments, manages Executive Office operations, and oversees high-level meetings and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership : Drive cross-departmental initiatives, ensuring timely execution and follow-up.
  • Board & Governance Support : Serve as liaison to the Board; prepare agendas, briefing materials, and manage governance processes.
  • Meeting Oversight : Lead planning and logistics for major association meetings, including the Annual Conference and Congressional Fly-In (budget > $4M).
  • Executive Operations : Manage CEO’s calendar, senior leadership meetings, and administrative processes for efficiency.
  • HR Collaboration : Partner with HR Director on personnel and benefits matters.
  • Communication : Ensure clear, timely communication with internal teams, Board, and external stakeholders.

Position is a hybrid working schedule; in office Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, full time staff remote work Monday and Friday. Salary commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and budgets efficiently and deliver effective results in a timely manner.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 5-10 years experience working in an executive setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Parliamentary procedure experience a plus
  • Ability to travel
