Who you are
Reporting to the Marketing Manager (West), MRG Live, the Marketing & Project Specialist will be responsible for supporting and executing marketing initiatives for MRG’s diverse portfolio of festivals, public events, and concert programming. You are strategic, creative, and highly organized, with a passion for event marketing, brand management, media buying, and on-site execution. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoy helping create experiences that connect with local communities and audiences.
The Fine Print
- Lead the execution, analysis, and optimization of marketing initiatives to meet and exceed attendance and revenue targets.
- Create and manage marketing budgets for assigned events, with direction from marketing leadership.
- Bring new creative marketing ideas to each festival campaign.
- Strategize and activate paid digital advertising campaigns.
- Execute and negotiate media buying; maintain and grow relationships with media outlets, radio partners, creative agencies, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Live Content Team to write ad briefs, press releases, and marketing copy.
- Assist with grant writing and award submissions.
- Coordinate design, printing, and installation of onsite signage, ensuring brand consistency.
- Oversee social media content creation, newsletters, in collaboration with the Live Content team.
- Oversee website development, and update websites with event information, including performance reporting for event-specific web pages.
- Lead the creation and distribution of wrap reports, gathering relevant marketing data.
- Identify cross-promotional opportunities across MRG divisions and projects.
- Work closely with the MRG Live Concerts team to both lead and assist in concert marketing efforts as needed.
- Be present and engaged at MRG Live Festivals & Events as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
We are looking for someone with
- 3+ years of professional marketing experience, ideally within live events, entertainment, or the experience industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, creative writing, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset.
- Experience with digital marketing platforms and data-driven campaign optimization.
- Proficiency in project management and coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of current marketing and social media trends and tools.
- Content Management System (CMS) proficiency: WordPress, Webflow.
- Adobe Creative Suite experience: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat.
- Class 5 Driver’s License & access to a vehicle.
- Canva, Google Suite, Asana, CRM Experience considered an asset.
- Ability to lift 25lb and stand for long periods.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
