Overview

The Event & Field Marketing Operations Manager is a key member of Mitel’s Field Marketing team, with key ties to the Corporate Marketing team, and is tasked with creating, leading and implementing event experiences that engage partners, customers and prospects, increase sales pipeline and create advocates for the Mitel brand on a global scale. The individual in this role will be highly skilled in both strategic planning and tactical execution, adept at cross-functional collaboration and able to guide both internal event marketers and external partner agencies and vendors to deliver effective event strategies, plans and logistical support for proprietary corporate events, conferences and road shows as well as 3rd party (including partner) events, conferences and trade shows.

This is considered a Remote- United States role; ideal candidate would be based in the Central Region.

Responsibilities

Consult, plan, and manage proprietary corporate events including but not limited to ‘to and through partner’ conferences and events; internal events; analyst meetings; roadshows; sales meetings; and product launches working with teams in North America, EMEA, and other emerging markets. (Primarily North America)

Provide consistent, professional, and exceptional event support to Field Marketing stakeholders for both Mitel events and events for strategic Mitel partners that qualify for Joint Marketing Funds or strategic support

Provide strategic and logistical support to corporate and business unit stakeholders for event planning and execution from field marketing roadshows to exhibitor presence to partner sponsorship to through partner event demand gen and thought leadership programs

Lead the event project management function across teams and stakeholders, holding colleagues and relevant vendors to a high standard

Provide strategic operational support to strategic partners for other key marketing initiatives that support integrated campaigns (that may or may not have an event component)

Act as strategic Field Marketing liaison linking regional and SME support and providing operational oversight of Field Marketing programs

Work with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive event strategies and associated metrics to drive to performance-based outcomes

Plan and deliver programs, agendas, budgets and schedules to keep internal stakeholder and external agency partner teams on track

Provide direction in the coordination of services for events including facility selection, registration, accommodations and transportation for participants, catering, signage, décor, display and audio-visual production requirements

Design and develop sponsorship packages, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, that generate measurable event funding

Build and lead a bench of strategic partners including event agencies, freelance and outside vendors to achieve desired outcomes

Assist in the development and execution of brand stories through key event touchpoints and associated digital channels to provide integrated and compelling onsite as well as pre- and post-event experiences

Drive the assessment, coordination and execution of the brand’s participation in trade shows, corporate sponsorships and conferences aligned to corporate brand strategy, as required

Develop and manage corporate event sponsorship programs, including sponsor communications and management of deliverables, working with a team of relevant stakeholders, as required

Travel to support, manage, and run events, as required

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred; or high school diploma + work experience in field marketing and corporate and/or channel events industry

Minimum of 5 years of varied corporate event planning and execution experience. Field marketing or marketing communications experienced ideal

Experience leading the development and implementation of event and exhibit marketing programs both from a strategic as well as tactical perspective required

Direct reporting management experience required; ability to lead individual contributors and act as project manager

Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Successful experience working with a broad audience of internal and external stakeholders including executives and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships required

Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal

Proficient in event marketing best practices

Experience working within a technology product/services organization not required but a plus

Experience working in international markets a plus
