DescriptionSummary We are seeking a results-oriented Marketing Director to define and lead the marketing strategy for our steel fabrication and manufacturing business serving Division 8 construction markets and related industries. This role is responsible for strengthening our brand, expanding our market presence, and driving strategic growth through innovative marketing, new product development, and market diversification. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who understands building materials, the architect/specification process, industrial sales channels, metrics driven and goal motivated. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership Develop a clear, forward-looking marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives. Lead long-term brand positioning and competitive differentiation efforts. Translate strategy into actionable plans with measurable outcomes. Market Growth & Expansion Identify and evaluate new geographic, vertical, and adjacent market opportunities. Build market penetration strategies that expand customer reach and drive share growth. New Product Development (NPD) Lead marketing efforts within the NPD lifecycle-from ideation and market validation through commercialization. Develop value propositions, launch plans, and messaging for new steel door frame and architectural products. Market & Competitive Intelligence Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and new opportunities. Provide insights to guide product development, pricing, and strategic decisions. Marketing Execution Oversee digital, PR, brand communication, content development, and lead-generation programs. Implement programs and campaigns that deliver measurable ROI. Sales Alignment Partner with the sales organization to develop go-to-market materials, sales tools, and demand-generation initiatives. Support the quoting process and specification efforts through targeted marketing assets. Budget & Resource Management Manage marketing budgets, agency partners, and marketing technologies to ensure efficient use of resources. Requirements8-10 years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 4 in a senior or director-level role. Strong knowledge of building materials, construction products, architects/specifiers, or heavy/industrial manufacturing. Proven success developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies that drive revenue and market expansion. Demonstrated experience with product launches and commercialization. Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Preferred: MBA or Master's degree in Marketing. Experience with architectural specifications, submittals, construction project lifecycles, and distributor/dealer channels. Marketing leadership experience in a mid-sized manufacturing environment.
