Performance Marketer for Small-Scale Paid Ads Test (Messaging & Audience Insights)

We are launching a simple, single-product DTC test and are looking for a performance marketer who can help us run small-budget paid campaigns (Meta, TikTok optional) with the primary goal of learning, not scaling.
This is not a high-volume e-commerce campaign. We want someone who understands how to use ads strategically to generate insights, such as:
What we want to learn
- Which demographics respond best
- Which interests/behaviors convert
- What messaging, angles, and value props resonate
- Which creative themes get the strongest signals
- Early indicators of demand and product–market fit
- Basic CAC benchmarks for future planning
What you’ll do
- Set up and manage small-scale test campaigns
- Build segmented audiences for structured learning
- Run A/B tests on messaging, hooks, and creatives
- Provide simple weekly reports with clear insights
- Recommend next steps based on results
- Help us build a foundational understanding of our consumer
Ideal experience
- Experience running Meta ads (required)
- Experience designing small-budget test frameworks
- Strong analytical thinking and hypothesis-driven testing
- Able to translate data into simple recommendations
- Comfortable collaborating with a content/creative person
- E-commerce and supplement experience a plus, but not required
