Job Title: Digital Marketing and Graphic Design- Faculty Head and Instructor

Location: Mainly remote. you may be required to attend in-person meetings or corporate events at Corporation’s Campus Support Centre in Mississauga (L5N 6S2)

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week. Hours will be scheduled between Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 10:00 pm EST

Start Date: January 2026

The Opportunity

This position is a dual role that combines responsibilities of both Faculty Head and Instructor.

The Faculty Head is the liaison for the respective faculty. As a program champion, the Faculty Head assists the College in providing mentorship and guidance for instructors within their program while providing suggestions towards developing a long-term strategy to maintain program relevance.

The Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction to students enrolled in various programs. Instructors are expected to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to succeed in their chosen career paths. This role involves creating a dynamic and supportive learning environment, developing instructional materials, and assessing student progress.

The Faculty Head/Instructor will be required to teach a minimum of 50% of their scheduled hours. Instructional duties take precedence over Faculty Head responsibilities. In circumstances where course coverage, instructional delivery, or student-facing teaching duties are required, these responsibilities must be prioritized ahead of Faculty Head tasks.

What you'll be doing

FACULTY HEAD KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Primary

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the program curriculum as approved by the Provincial Regulator.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the program scheduling summary and related merge model.
  • Participate in provincial and national initiatives related to Police Foundations programs, learning outcomes, or careers.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships in the community to support student’s practical learning experiences.
  • Work with Career Services employees to support student internship placements and student job searches.
  • Research and identify opportunities and trends within the industry to maintain program relevance.
  • Maintain the program status sheet.
  • Provide leadership oversight and act as a SME for curriculum development or provide support in identifying a SME for curriculum development and updates.
  • Maintain curriculum quality by following academic policies and procedures, as well as communicating effectively and proactively with key stakeholders.
  • Provide support for Instructor orientation and continuous instructor development support.
  • Facilitate Faculty Head Meetings at least monthly according to best practices and principles in the FH onboarding.
  • Familiarize yourself with the Student Complaints Policy and direct students and staff to appropriate resources.

Ongoing Responsibilities

  • Faculty heads maintain a strong practical background and industry certification, designation, and real-world experience.
  • Faculty heads should have an in-depth knowledge of all courses in their respective programs, including the topics, classroom requirements/setup and resources used. They should be the one person instructors can go to with questions related to curriculum. They should keep on top of their fields and research topics to keep the instructors and the program current.
  • Faculty heads should ensure that the program is being taught to college standards and in a consistent manner in all campuses.
  • Nurture a collaborative environment among faculty to support efficient educational delivery and student success.
  • Review Student Feedback survey.
  • Ensure compliance in all aspects of program delivery guidelines as outlined in college policies and procedures found on People and Culture’s SharePoint site.
  • Faculty heads should openly accept feedback from instructors, summarize this feedback and communicate it to the Academic Planning Manager and Remote Education Director and Education Manager.

Periodic Responsibilities

  • Faculty heads will stay current on changes in their field and work with Education Consultants, Remote Education Director, Education Manager (RED and EM) and other faculty and management to understand the market validity of their programs and make recommendations to refine/update their related programs.
  • Audit the quality of classroom instruction in conjunction with the Remote Education Director or Education Manager (RED and EM).
  • Participate in annual program review as guided by management.
  • Faculty heads will facilitate training and development initiatives as requested.

Government Regulations/Compliance and Accreditation:

  • Adhere to the policies set forth by the regulatory bodies of Ontario, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick such as Ontario Career Colleges Act, New Brunswick Private Occupational Training Act, Nova Scotia Private Career Colleges Act, and any other regulations or laws impinging upon school operations.

INSTRUCTOR KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality classroom instruction, using a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Facilitate hands-on training and practical exercises to ensure that students gain the necessary skills and competencies required for their chosen profession.
  • Design and administer assessments, quizzes, exams, and assignments to evaluate student performance. Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
  • Encourage active student participation and engagement in the learning process. Offer guidance and mentorship to students.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise.
  • Offer academic and career counseling to students, providing guidance on academic progress, study techniques, and career opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, and College administrators to improve program quality, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the College.
  • Collaborate with Academic Services team to create and update course materials, syllabi, and lesson plans that align with industry standards and program objectives.
  • Inform students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, attendance policies, and provides students with a copy of course outline to review.
  • Enter student grades in XCAS within five (5) business days of completing an assigned course and forwards marks to the Remote Education Director and Student Success Advisor.

Reporting on Student Progress

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information. Ensure compliance with college policies and regulations.
  • Ensure students are on course; communicate progress to the Remote Education Director and Student Success Advisor.
  • Identify students who are struggling, absent or have issues impacting their successful progress and escalate on a pro-active basis to the Remote Education Director and Student Success Advisor. Discuss options for student success with Remote Education Director if student does not complete modules within timeframe.
  • Provides Remote Education Director and Student Success Advisor with student marked final exams.

What you bring to the position

  • A degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized program in Digital Marketing and Graphic Design.
  • A minimum of 5 years practical experience working in digital marketing and business with a focus on:
  • content strategy
  • writing for online
  • search engine optimization
  • search engine marketing with AdWords
  • search engine analytics
  • email marketing
  • social media platforms and strategies
  • online community management
  • website content management
  • display advertising and mobile marketing
  • online reputation management
  • graphic design- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva required
  • AI tools in digital marketing and graphic design
  • Adult education and teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to facilitate group sessions and presentations, including classroom environments.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of a diverse student population.
