NMS Group is modernizing its reporting, forecasting, analytics, and financial data governance capabilities across FP&A and Accounting. The current environment requires significant process re-engineering and automation to eliminate manual tagging, reclassification, spreadsheet-driven reporting, and fragmented data ownership.

The Position

We are seeking a Director, FP&A Transformation Lead—a senior leader who will drive end-to-end transformation of reporting architecture, data flows, financial processes, and enterprise controls. This role will lead the assessment of current-state processes, redesign target-state workflows, and deliver fully automated, integrated financial reporting across D365, OneStream, Coupa, Workday, and the broader systems ecosystem.

This is a high-urgency, high-impact role for an FP&A and systems expert with deep accounting knowledge, exceptional process design capabilities, and hands-on experience implementing EPM solutions under tight deadlines. The selected leader will be accountable for building a scalable data and reporting foundation, including ownership of enterprise financial data structures and the development of a Data Stewardship framework.

What You’ll Lead & Deliver

Process Re-Engineering & Current-State Assessment

  • Lead a comprehensive assessment of current FP&A and reporting processes, identifying gaps in automation, controls, data governance, and scalability.
  • Re-engineer end-to-end workflows (actuals, close, forecast, budget, allocations, management reporting) with a goal of eliminating manual interventions and establishing sustainable automation.
  • Define and implement a future-state operating model for FP&A and Accounting, including standardized processes, controls, and data management responsibilities.

Reporting & Forecasting Automation

  • Architect automated data flows from D365 → OneStream for actuals, budgets, forecasts, allocations, and KPI reporting.
  • Eliminate manual tagging and reclassification processes—targeting a 90%+ reduction in manual FP&A labor.
  • Standardize metadata, hierarchies, and dimensional structures across all reporting layers to ensure alignment between AOP, forecast, and monthly reporting.

Data Ownership, Control Framework & Data Stewardship

  • Establish enterprise-wide ownership of financial data, ensuring clarity of responsibilities across FP&A, Accounting, and Data Engineering.
  • Build a financial control framework governing data quality, transformation rules, reconciliation checkpoints, and exception management.
  • Create and operationalize a Data Steward role to maintain metadata, ensure integrity of dimensional structures, and manage cross-functional governance processes.

Data & Dimensional Modeling

  • Redesign segment, value stream, initiative, customer, and product reporting structures to enable consistent, scalable analysis.
  • Implement standardized mapping rules across ERP (D365), EPM (OneStream), and BI tools.
  • Partner with Data and Accounting teams to ensure alignment on master data, integration rules, and control points.

OneStream Optimization

  • Lead the redesign of OneStream cubes, workflows, dimensions, transformation rules, and consolidation logic.
  • Improve driver-based forecasting, segmentation reporting, and management dashboards.
  • Drive efficiencies in the close-to-report cycle, reducing timelines by at least two business days while enhancing data accuracy.

Expense & Allocation Modeling

  • Enhance expense analysis models; automate cost allocations across entities, departments, value streams, and business lines.
  • Support asset-management-specific frameworks (AUM, fund allocations, platform costs, shared services).

AOP-Linked Reporting & Performance Management

  • Align reporting structures, dashboards, and KPIs directly to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
  • Automate AOP vs. Actual vs. Forecast reporting—providing executives with timely performance insights.
  • Partner with FP&A leadership to ensure AOP assumptions flow through driver models, allocations, and reporting hierarchies.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Urgency

  • Serve as the primary integration point between FP&A, Accounting, ERP, Data Engineering, and Reporting teams.
  • Translate complex system behavior, process changes, and reporting rules into clear communication for senior non-technical leaders.
  • Drive aggressive project timelines with a strong sense of urgency, consistently delivering results under tight deadlines.

Key Success Metrics

  • Fully automated D365 → OneStream integrations with minimal manual intervention.
  • Standardized and governed dimensional modeling across FP&A, Accounting, and Data teams.
  • 90% reduction in manual tagging, reconciliation, and spreadsheet-driven processing.
  • Shortened monthly close and reporting cycle by 2+ business days.
  • Operationalized data control framework with active Data Stewardship.
  • Automated, reliable dashboards and investor-grade reporting tied directly to AOP performance metrics.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 15+ years in FP&A, financial systems, process transformation, or related finance operations roles.
  • Strong accounting foundation; CPA preferred.
  • Deep FP&A experience including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, cost modeling, and multi-entity reporting.
  • Hands-on expertise with OneStream (preferred) or Hyperion, Tagetik, or Anaplan.
  • Proven experience assessing as-is processes and designing target-state workflows.
  • Demonstrated success in automating manual processes and implementing control frameworks.
  • Experience in the asset management industry required.
  • Strong understanding of ERP–EPM integrations and financial data architecture.
  • Excellent communication and executive-facing presentation skills.

Who You Are

  • A hybrid FP&A and systems leader who excels at process re-engineering, automation, and data governance.
  • Someone who can quickly assess complex current-state environments and define scalable future-state solutions.
  • A builder who thrives on eliminating manual work, elevating data integrity, and delivering automation under pressure.
  • A strong partner to FP&A, Accounting, Data, IT, and Business Unit leaders.
  • A problem-solver with a bias toward action and the urgency needed to modernize fragmented reporting environments.
