  • *Position Summary**

We are looking for an **Assistant **eCommerce Manager **based at our North York Office reporting into the eCommerce Manager. This position leads the Digital Shelf Merchandising on key eRetailers and focuses on developing new capabilities to accelerate NCI's eCommerce ambitions. As the expert on eCommerce, the person in this role will also lead cross-functional training sessions to help accelerate eCommerce knowledge and capabilities across the organization.

  • *A day in the life of an Assistant eCommerce Manager
  • *Lead eContent Merchandising**:
  • Act as an internal champion (between Marketing & Sales) leading all listing, updating and managing of gold standard digital shelf across major eRetailers (Walmart, LCL & Costco)
  • Develop and improve Digital Shelf strategy by providing eRetailer guidelines and key insights to help drive optimizations
  • Lead the eContent publication to eRetailers sites, which includes product imagery, basic & enhanced content utilization on content management platforms (Kwikee, Salsify) to maintain and optimize Digital Shelf
  • Partner with marketing, sales, regulatory, customer teams, IT and external agencies & platforms to drive the execution of key processes related to eContent
  • Continually stay informed and communicate changes to eContent guidelines and adjust eContent needs accordingly
  • Support the execution of Retail Digital Media campaigns
  • Have direct relationships with key eRetailers to lead all listing, updates and changes necessary to the digital shelf
  • Responsible for connecting with brand and sales to strategize and drive the ratings & reviews strategy
  • Performs administrative functions required to manage the eCommerce area including regular reports outlining business performance, status of projects etc.
  • Work closely with brand/ marketing teams to support with their eCommerce strategy and develop a working plan to ensure individual projects are leading towards the overall objective
  • *New capabilities: Robust test & learn plans supporting eCommerce objectives; translated into best practices per direction/approval of the eCommerce team**
  • Identify retailer and consumer trends, build external networks with industry experts, agencies and customers to bring leading edge perspectives & capabilities to win in modern retail
  • Clearly establish and communicate best practices to the broader marketing organization through ongoing training
  • *What will make you successful?**
  • University degree in Business or Marketing, and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of eCommerce experience (search and content marketing a plus), marketing, sales, and project management
  • Experience with Salsify is preferred; other Asset Management/DAMs acceptable
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Walmart, LCL and other eRetailers. Experience with content best practices specific to Canadian eCommerce / retailers (Amazon, Wal-Mart, Loblaws etc.) is highly preferred. Working knowledge of EDGE by ascential experience or similar preferred
  • Working knowledge of Retail Digital Media, LCL programs, Walmart Connect initiatives etc. preferred
