- *Summary**
The Manager eCommerce Customer Acquisition will play a key role in growing Metro’s online grocery customer base by focusing on customer acquisition for all our food banners and in both provinces. The manager will be responsible for executing the customer acquisition strategy and implementing the plan with Metro's internal and external stakeholders. The individual, under the direction of the Senior Manager, will ensure qualified traffic is driven to the Online Grocery platform to achieve revenue goals. The manager will incorporate best practices to the online grocery business by leveraging their strong background in digital marketing.
- *Specific Responsibilities**:
- Manage and optimize the paid activities across traditional and digital marketing channels, inclusive of Social, SEM and Programmatic to acquisition performance. Proactively propose improvements to existing initiatives, and new initiatives that will lead to channel and company growth.
- Lead national campaigns to increase customer acquisition and spends according to sales targets in Ontario and Quebec, across the Food Banners of Metro Inc.
- Monitor and share ROI through all paid channels.
- Improve KPIs by optimizing budgets, campaign structures, goals and creatives to reduce CPAs and increase ROAS. Optimize marketing budget allocation in partnership with agency partners and industry benchmarks.
- Develop strategies for upsell between banners, platforms, and eCommerce services to increase the customer lifetime value.
- Lead ad-hoc projects as needed e.g., launching in new geographies or working to implement new tools and solutions.
- Liaise with internal Metro teams (e.g., brand, digital, merchandising and loyalty) to integrate eCommerce into existing marketing programs.
- Coordinate and oversee production of all creative requirements related to e-commerce.
- Stay on top of the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing.
- Leading a team of digital marketing strategists.
- *Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in administration, marketing or e-commerce related field or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in eCommerce
- 3+ years of Performance Marketing experience
- Track record of growing eCommerce/ D2C business, and/or startup experience
- Strong background in Paid Social, Paid Search, and/or Programmatic Display Ads
- Ability to think strategically and execute; entrepreneurial mindset an asset
- Experience managing large, integrated traditional and digital campaigns resulting in positive ROAS
- Data driven, process and KPI oriented mentality. Able to regularly hit targets
- Extensive knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Ads, Google Analytics, etc.)
- Bilingual - French and English is an asset
