Solution Architect – Digital Platforms

Location: Wayne, PA → 8 days on-site/per month

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of modern digital platforms leveraging Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and web technologies such as React and Node.js.

This strategic role sits at the intersection of technology innovation and business impact, shaping how digital engagement evolves across the U.S. You will architect solutions that are cloud-native, API-first, and aligned with the customer journey—enabling seamless, secure, and scalable digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy

Design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions using Azure services, microservices, and modern web technologies.
Lead complex solution design involving APIs and large-scale data environments across hybrid cloud platforms.
Translate business requirements into reusable IT solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Maintain architecture documentation and repository.

API & Data Platform Leadership

Architect and deliver features for API layers and digital portals using React and Node.js.
Ensure solutions are cloud-native, API-first, and optimized for performance and scalability.
Provide guidance on microservices, event-driven architecture, and data pipelines.

Collaboration & Enablement

Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Teams, and Agile Engineers to deliver high-value features.
Establish and lead a Community of Practice for architects and developers focused on Azure, APIs, and data.
Co-create architecture roadmaps aligned with business strategy.

Governance & Quality

Organize solution design activities and ensure stakeholder alignment.
Monitor implementation for compliance with architectural standards.
Drive improvements in architecture practices and standards.

Thought Leadership & Coaching

Serve as a thought leader in API and application architecture.
Mentor developers and architects, promoting continuous learning.
Communicate effectively with senior management, translating technical concepts into business language.

Qualifications

Required

5+ years in enterprise software architecture and solution design.
3+ years in Azure cloud architecture, including hybrid environments.
Strong understanding of API-first design, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
Experience with Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Delta Lake, Synapse Analytics, and big data tools.
Proficiency in React, Node.js, Python, Scala, SQL, or other cloud-native development.
Skilled communicator with ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Preferred

TOGAF® and ArchiMate® certifications.
Azure Solutions Architect certification (AZ-305 or equivalent).
Familiarity with secure coding practices, CI/CD, monitoring, and logging.
Background in software development and project management methodologies.
