Our Edmonton Ecommerce office is looking to fill the key role of Assistant Ecommerce Manager. The Assistant Ecommerce Manager helps oversee Ecommerce operations and team performance to support gravitypope’s online sales growth. The Assistant Ecommerce Manager ensures a high standard of customer service and order efficiency. They are responsible for leading a team with proactive, quick, and clear communication that aids in providing a superior user experience. They recruit, onboard, and oversee training of new employees. They collaborate cross departmentally to streamline processes and ensure smooth order fulfillment throughout the organization.

The Assistant Ecommerce Manager plays a large role in developing the skills and competencies of the Ecommerce Team to facilitate department growth. They focus on developing long term, career-oriented employees through ongoing performance management and training. They are responsible for maintaining both the morale and physical workspace of the Edmonton Ecommerce Office (090), supporting a positive and high-functioning atmosphere.

  • *Key Responsibilities**:
  • Mitigate service and product complaints through positive, but economical, resolutions. Escalate unresolved complaints in a detailed and timely manner
  • Ensure clients are sent regular updates on order status, help mitigate complaints on order delays and errors through proactive communication
  • Liaison with retail locations to ensure a seamless omnichannel experience for the client
  • Manage morale by instilling and demonstrating a strong business ethic when attending to client and employee needs
  • Ensure employees adhere to company Code of Conduct and report employee concerns to supervisor and Human Resources
  • Train team to provide outstanding customer service, delegate daily tasks, conduct bag checks, sign off on timecards, and fill out absence or late records
  • Complete monthly check-ins, goal setting and annual performance reviews with direct reports
  • Evaluate and alter work processes in collaboration with Operations
  • A flexible schedule is required with the ability to work weekends
  • *Qualifications**:
  • 3+ years experience in a retail environment
  • 2+ years in Ecommerce environment
  • 1+ years’ experience in a management role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong ability to negotiate and find agreeable solutions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, as well as ensure a high quality of work completed within an acceptable timeframe
  • Ability to delegate effectively
  • Excellent numerate and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
