Foundation is a B2B content marketing agency that helps SaaS, education, and service brands grow through content, SEO, and performance distribution. As our Paid Media department scales, we are searching for an experienced strategist to lead paid media strategy across a growing roster of clients.
The mission of the Paid Media Strategist is to design and own the advertising strategies that drive MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, and revenue for our clients. This role blends platform mastery with creative strategy, funnel design, messaging, data insights, and client leadership. You will be responsible for building predictable, scalable programs and guiding their execution in partnership with our Paid Media Specialist, Account Managers, and Creative teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Paid Media Strategy Leadership
- Own the paid media strategy and roadmap for 4 to 6 core client accounts.
- Build full-funnel plans that align paid media with broader GTM objectives, revenue targets, and ICP needs.
- Create annual and quarterly roadmaps that give clients clarity, direction, and confidence in the path ahead.
- Lead experimentation and testing frameworks designed to generate insights and scalable performance improvements.
- Guide the Paid Media Specialist on execution by providing direction, reviewing deliverables, and upholding performance standards.
2. Channel Mastery Across Core Platforms
- Develop, optimize, and scale campaigns on Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, and Reddit Ads.
- Apply multi-channel strategy to connect content, nurture flows, and sales handoff stages.
- Implement funnel-specific ad programs for webinars, AMAs, gated assets, demos, quizzes, and longer-cycle ABM motions.
- Ensure all tracking and data integrations are accurate and reliable, including GTM, GA4, server-side tagging, Enhanced Conversions, CAPI, and CRM integrations.
- Experience with TikTok, Pinterest, and programmatic is a helpful bonus.
3. Creative and Messaging Strategy
- Lead creative ideation with internal and client-side teams to concept and refine ads for static, video, UGC, carousel formats, and landing pages.
- Build creative frameworks built on hooks, messaging angles, objections, and value propositions.
- Develop ICP-driven messaging strategies that map to awareness, consideration, and decision stages.
- Translate performance insights into actionable creative direction for ongoing iterations.
4. Full Funnel Architecture and CRO
- Diagnose and optimize the entire funnel from first touch to revenue.
- Audit landing pages, lead flows, form experiences, nurture sequences, and sales follow-up processes.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement strategies that increase conversion rates at every stage.
- Partner with clients to improve CRM structure, data hygiene, lead qualification, and attribution clarity.
5. Data, Forecasting, and Reporting
- Build forecasting models for spend, CAC, cost per MQL, cost per SQL, and expected revenue impact.
- Improve client understanding of unit economics and acceptable costs across funnel stages.
- Run monthly and quarterly performance reviews that educate clients and drive strategic decision-making.
- Convert complex data into simple insights and actionable recommendations.
6. Client Relationship and Strategic Advisory
- Act as the senior paid media voice in client conversations and planning sessions.
- Present strategies, roadmaps, results, and opportunities with clarity and confidence.
- Proactively identify ways to scale performance, expand channels, improve creative, and optimize spend.
- Collaborate with the Paid Media Director to evolve our playbooks, processes, and internal standards of excellence.
Required Experience
- 5 to 7+ years working in paid media, ideally in B2B SaaS, Education, Professional Services, or Lead Generation.
- 3+ Years of Performance Marketing Agency experience
- Proven success managing and scaling campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, Meta, and Reddit.
- HubSpot partner experience preferred
- Strong understanding of CRM integrations and tracking systems, especially HubSpot.
- Experience designing and optimizing multi-touch funnels
- Demonstrated ability to lead creative strategy and collaborate with design and content teams.
- High proficiency in forecasting, data analysis, unit economics, and revenue modeling.
- Comfortable presenting strategies and results to senior stakeholders.

- Based in North America, EST preferred
