Local SEO Specialist (Ottawa – Contract/Freelance)

Cavara Marketing & Advertising Agency is looking for a Local SEO Specialist based in Ottawa to support our growth across selected projects and long-term collaborations.

Role Overview

We’re looking for someone who understands the intricacies of local search, knows how to optimize for Google Business Profile, and can drive measurable results for clients across various industries.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles for multiple clients
• Conduct local keyword research and competitor analysis
• Improve local search rankings and map visibility
• Create and implement on-page SEO updates
• Track, analyze, and report performance using SEO tools
• Support Cavara’s internal and client-facing SEO strategy

Requirements

• Proven experience in Local SEO (portfolio or case studies required)
• Strong understanding of ranking factors and local search algorithms
• Experience with tools like GMB, Google Analytics, Search Console, and any relevant SEO software
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Based in Ottawa or able to work with Ottawa-based clients
