Our leading retail client is seeking a Digital Platforms Strategy Manager to join their team in North York. This role will oversee the end-to-end management of advertising platforms and systems that enable the execution of digital media strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of new advertising technologies and platform capabilities.
  • Manage platform roadmaps, including supplier-facing tools, data integrations, and product enhancements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including IT, Product, Analytics, Legal, and Media—to ensure technology solutions align with business goals.
  • Oversee privacy compliance initiatives, including risk assessments, remediation planning, and process documentation.
  • Develop and maintain privacy frameworks to support data governance and regulatory adherence.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for advertising products, systems, and platform processes.
  • Provide training and knowledge sharing to internal teams on advertising tools, campaign management, and reporting platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve ad product performance, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
  • Lead vendor selection and partnership management, including RFP processes and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare updates, presentations, and reports to communicate project progress, issues, and key decisions to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital media, advertising technology, data analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, and ad servers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of privacy regulations and best practices in data protection.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Experience in eCommerce, retail media, or onsite advertising is an asset.
  • Familiarity with structured testing methodologies (e.g., A/B testing, incrementality testing) preferred.
