ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Account Strategy and Digital Marketing is a pivotal role at 1AX, focused on empowering clients to develop comprehensive digital marketing programs. Imagine a role where you spend 50% of your time brainstorming innovative ideas, 25% implementing actionable strategies, and 25% leading thought initiatives.

Your expertise in hospitality marketing and digital channels will allow you to provide insightful, revenue-driving solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

Strategy - 50%

Possess extensive knowledge of digital marketing areas including SEO, Paid Search, Social Media, Email Marketing, and Programmatic Advertising, understanding which components will yield optimal results.

Oversee new hotel onboarding, guiding the process from understanding the hotel’s unique market to proposing a detailed media budget and a multifaceted marketing plan.

Bring forth creative tactics to enhance transient room nights, corporate events, weddings, food and beverage sales, and additional revenue streams.

Stay abreast of industry trends and cutting-edge technologies, enthusiastically testing new digital tools and partnerships, and integrating successful implementations into the 1AX offerings.

Passionate about analytics, proficient with GA4, Looker Studio, and Excel pivot tables, and capable of designing and evaluating test plans, conducting ad hoc analyses, and iterating on results.

Prioritize digital marketing strategies aligned with hotel objectives, proactively anticipating client needs and delivering forward-thinking plans.

Tactical Execution - 25%

At 1AX, no task is too small. As a Director of Account Strategy, you will engage in the tactical execution of strategies every day.

Tasks may include editing ad copy in advertising platforms, creating engaging social media campaigns, updating web content, proofreading marketing correspondence, managing third-party listings, and optimizing website structures and metadata.

Adhere to 1AX’s project management protocols while utilizing internal tools, templates, and processes as necessary.

Thought Leadership - 25%

As a true expert in Digital and Hotel Marketing, you possess an in-depth understanding of digital channels and hospitality strategies that drive customer engagement and results.

Act as a technical guru who effortlessly explains digital marketing concepts to hotel teams, making complex strategies accessible.

Serve as a thought leader at 1AX, sharing insights, best practices, and emerging trends that enhance team knowledge and capabilities.

Utilize data storytelling, synthesizing key insights into compelling narratives that inform and drive strategic discussions.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate meets the following qualifications:

5-7 years of experience in a marketing leadership role at a full-service hotel or digital agency focused on hospitality clients, with experience managing multiple properties.

4+ years of managing paid marketing campaigns.

4+ years of managing organic marketing campaigns.

A motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills, adept at managing various clients and vendors while maintaining organization and attention to detail.

Adaptable to the dynamics of a small business environment, demonstrating creativity in problem-solving.

Proficient in Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and familiar with various digital marketing tools.

Inquisitive and passionate about staying updated on emerging trends in the industry.

A love for travel, hotels, restaurants, and pop culture.

DETAILS

Base salary and bonus range from $120K to $143K based on experience.

This position is fully remote and full-time.

Occasional travel required, up to 15% of the time.
