The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Ecommerce Marketing Manager - for a prominent client of ours. This position is based in Alameda, CA. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Title: Ecommerce Marketing Manager (Contract)

Location: Alameda, CA (4 days/week onsite, 1 day/week remote)

Rate: $60–$67/hr

Contract Duration: 6 months (with extension potential)The Opportunity

We are seeking an Ecommerce Marketing Manager (Contract) to drive growth across our third-party e-commerce channels. This role is critical for candidates with direct experience managing Amazon PDPs and content, with additional retailer experience (Walmart, Walgreens, Best Buy) considered a strong plus.

The Ecommerce Marketing Manager will own PDP setup, refreshes, optimization, and experimentation across retailer platforms. Success in this role requires strong project management skills, analytical curiosity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end management of PDP setup, refresh, and ongoing optimization across third-party retailers (e.g., Amazon, Walmart).
  • Maintain product listings, descriptions, digital assets, and brand consistency across all retailer platforms.
  • Collaborate with content, creative, and sales teams to ensure PDPs reflect current messaging, claims, and promotions.
  • Design and execute A/B tests to improve conversion, content effectiveness, and PDP engagement.
  • Analyze performance data, customer behavior, and conversion funnels to identify optimization opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support online sales strategy across third-party channels, troubleshooting listing issues and content syndication challenges.
  • Work with external agencies to leverage category best practices and competitive insights.
  • Monitor channel KPIs including traffic, conversion, buy box, and ratings & reviews, delivering weekly and monthly reports.
  • Track competitor activity and identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional e-commerce experience.
  • Direct experience with Amazon PDP and content management is REQUIRED.
  • Experience with other major retailer platforms (Walmart, Walgreens, Best Buy) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving results in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., health tech) is a plus.
