Marketing and Business Development Intern

Overview

Varada Consulting is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and dedicated intern to join our dynamic Marketing and Business Development teams. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to acquire hands-on experience in content creation, communications, and operational support within a fast-paced defense tech company.

Key Responsibilities

• Marketing Support
• Upload blog and news content to our website through WordPress.
• Assist with basic graphic design tasks utilizing Canva.
• Draft and schedule engaging social media posts.
• Help maintain and update the content calendar.
• Quality assure and organize email nurture sequences using Mailchimp or HubSpot.
• Manage marketing files, images, and presentations in SharePoint.
• Participate in weekly check-ins with the Marketing Director.
• Track opportunities for demos and events.
• Business Development Support
• Organize and manage files within SharePoint folders.
• Format and maintain the proposal content library.
• Apply naming conventions and update outdated materials.
• Provide general administrative assistance to the BD team as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Canva, WordPress, or basic email platforms (Adobe Illustrator is a plus).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Highly organized and comfortable with managing shared calendars and documents.
• Interest in national security, defense, or government innovation is a plus.
• Proactive, curious, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
