Overall Job Summary
The responsibility of this position is to lead and manage the execution of all national Marketing plans, create and execute support for all Petsense by Tractor supply category specific marketing plans and offers, manage the execution of test and learn programs to optimize media mix. This role will also be assigned to other special projects such as leading marketing initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and driving internal processes and efficiencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Minimum of 5% of time spent)
- Lead & develop annual, quarterly, and monthly 360-degree marketing plans (paid media, owned media, in-store, organic social, local events) for Consumables, Hardlines, Specialty, Grooming & Services and Digital categories based on competitive analysis, customer research, financial data, and creative performance.
- Manage the execution of tactical elements related all national Marketing plans, including coordinating deliverable task setup, monitoring, approvals, testing development and execution, and budget tracking.
- Proactively coordinate all Marketing activation plans partnering with internal Merchandising team and external vendor partners (when required) in the categories Consumables, Hardlines, Specialty, Grooming & Services and Digital.
- Develop Test and learn programs by setting up customer offers & incentives to optimize current media mix, drive sales, and increase customer awareness, customer retention and loyalty.
- Supervise, monitor and drive completion of strategic and tactical projects via internal content planning, proofing systems.
- Manage Marketing initiatives for Petsense by Tractor Supply to increase customer awareness and drive customer retention.
- Ensure all marketing activations are on time and on-budget
- Lead project management platform for Petsense by Tractor Supply partnering with Tractor Supply Marketing Operations & Loyalty teams to drive efficiencies, training, and future new tool capabilities.
- Manage additional Special Projects as designated by TSC, as appropriate.
Qualifications
Experience: 6+ years of marketing experience preferred. Retail marketing experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Advertising or equivalent. A suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: None.
Other knowledge, skills, or abilities
- Leadership experience driving strong cross-functional relationships, internal relationships and external partnerships.
- Experience managing marketing vendor relationships and leveraging vendor resources and channels preferred.
- Strong understanding of marketing concepts, media disciplines and production tactics.
- Ability to delegate and direct a team of people (includes internal and external vendor partners).
- Ability to drive results and provide recommendations for continuous improvement rooted in data.
- Strong demonstrated knowledge of the business, including finance, merchandising, operations, offer management and loyalty programs
- Budget Management preferred
- Marketing workflow & systems management preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
