B2C Marketing Manager (Consumer Communications & Lifecycle)

About the Role

We’re looking for a B2C Marketing Manager (Individual Contributor) to own and evolve how we communicate with consumers across email, push notifications, and emerging direct-to-consumer channels. This role is hands-on and execution-driven, with responsibility for shaping strategy, building programs, and continuously optimizing how we engage, retain, and activate our audience through data-informed, high-impact messaging.

You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy and day-to-day execution, owning key parts of the consumer communications roadmap while partnering closely with Product, Data, Creative, Content, and Sales to ensure the right message reaches the right consumer at the right time.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role with meaningful ownership of consumer messaging performance, requiring strong channel expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to drive results without direct people management.

What You’ll Do

Own Consumer Communication Programs

  • Manage email, push notification, and in-app messaging programs end-to-end, including audience segmentation, messaging frameworks, cadence, testing, and ongoing optimization
  • Support and help evolve our lifecycle marketing approach across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, and reactivation
  • Contribute to best practices for consumer communications across additional owned channels as they emerge

Drive Execution & Performance

  • Plan, execute, and optimize email and push campaigns, including promotional, editorial, transactional, and lifecycle-triggered communications
  • Build and maintain an experimentation roadmap (A/B testing, personalization, frequency optimization) to improve engagement and conversion over time
  • Track and report on performance metrics such as open rates, CTR, conversion, retention, and downstream revenue impact

Partner Cross-Functionally

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Sales to ensure messaging is technically sound, scalable, and informed by data
  • Partner with Content and Creative teams to deliver consumer communications that are on-brand, compelling, and aligned with broader marketing initiatives
  • Work with Growth and Acquisition teams to support smooth handoffs from paid channels into owned consumer communications

Be a Go-To Partner

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for consumer messaging and lifecycle marketing within your functional partnerships
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations around tools, processes, and opportunities to improve how we communicate with consumers

Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in B2C marketing, with hands-on ownership of email and/or push notification programs
  • Experience supporting or leading lifecycle or consumer communications programs at scale, ideally in a consumer-facing or growth-oriented environment
  • Comfortable owning programs end-to-end and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive results

Skills & Expertise

  • Strong understanding of CRM, lifecycle marketing, and consumer segmentation strategies
  • Comfort with performance metrics, experimentation, and data-informed decision-making
  • Hands-on experience with email and push platforms (e.g., SailThru, OneSignal, Braze, or similar tools)
  • Ability to balance creative storytelling with analytical thinking

Seattle, WA pay range

$78k-$125k per year (Target $92k/yr)

Salary will be adjusted based on geographic location.
