International Pool and Spa Centers is the leading distributor, retailer, and service provider of hot tubs, swimming pools, and recreational products in Southern Ontario. We have eight retail locations across Ontario, a fast-growing online business, and the largest fiberglass pool construction division in Ontario. We are a family-run and owned business that has been in operation for over 40 years.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales & E-Commerce Support Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a post-secondary student to gain hands-on experience in both retail operations and e-commerce customer service within a professional business environment.

Reporting directly to the VP of E-Commerce, you will support both in-store retail operations and online customer experience initiatives. You will play an important role in delivering a seamless and consistent customer experience across our physical and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Support the E-Commerce team with order management, inventory checks, and product availability updates
  • Assist in improving product listings, FAQs, and support documentation to reduce customer friction
  • Respond to online customer inquiries and support tickets in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist customers with order issues, product questions, shipping inquiries, and returns/exchanges via email or online platforms
  • Collaborate with the E-Commerce team to maintain high service standards
  • Flag and escalate customer issues when necessary
  • Identify trends in customer feedback and share insights with leadership
  • Assist with customer return / warranty processing

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • MUST be a current post-secondary student enrolled in a program with Work-integrated learning (WIL).
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Comfortable working with both in-person and online customer interactions
  • Proficient with computers, email systems, and basic online platforms (Windows, Outlook, etc.)
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

Nice to Have

  • 1+ year of experience in retail sales or customer service (online or in-store)
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and ticketing systems (e.g., Shopify, Zendesk, etc.)

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
