Position: Retail Media Advertising Analyst
Location: On-Site, 5 Days a Week in San Bruno, CA 94066
Employment: Full-Time, 12 Month Contract (Extensions/Conversion Available)
Pay Rate: $45 - $50 / Hourly
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of relevant analytical experience in media, marketing analytics, or consumer insights (agency, brand, publisher, or research side)
- Familiarity with media reporting types and campaign performance metrics
- CTR, PPC, conversion rate, impressions, reach, CPA, ROAS
- Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets
- Experience with Tableau for dashboarding and reporting
- Strong presentation and communication skills to bridge technical insights with non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to moderate discussions and collaborate across internal teams
- Professional demeanor and strong organizational skills
- Ability to identify insights, deep dive into data, and translate findings into actionable advertising campaign recommendations
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Basic Python knowledge for data manipulation and exploratory analysis
- Experience with retail media platforms (e.g., Lowe’s, Best Buy, Amazon, Petco, Meta)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud environments

Our top retail client is seeking a Marketing Analyst to join their Media Insights Team, supporting strategic decision-making for their consumer-packaged goods and grocery portfolio (ex: General Mills). This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with advanced analytics tools like SQL and Tableau to build predictive models and uncover consumer behavior trends, while also being able to interpret media performance drivers, attribution results, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders. They should be adept at connecting analytical outputs to broader business impact, client use cases, and optimization strategies. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role serves as a bridge between data science and business teams, helping to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that inform marketing decisions.
- Building predictive models and analyzing consumer behavior trends using SQL
- Developing Tableau dashboards to automate reporting and visualize key insights
- Evaluating marketing impact by comparing campaign performance and analyzing cross-channel behavior for customers like General Mills.
- Interpreting attribution results and articulating media performance drivers to stakeholders
