POSITION SUMMARYPURPOSE
This is a client-facing role with senior-level responsibility, uniquely blending strategy, analytics, and execution. The Senior Digital Marketing Strategist helps with business development efforts as well as creating unified strategies for existing clients and provides guidance for executing digital initiatives with best practices.

- Leads end-to-end digital strategy across multiple verticals, including clear KPIs, expectations, and reporting frameworks.
- Supports new business through presentations and pitching to clients and prospects
- Acts as a client partner (presenting results, influencing decision makers, and consulting on marketing initiatives and strategy implementation).
- Defines customer journeys from awareness to purchase, identifying barriers, friction points, and missed opportunities.
- Leads discovery, diagnostics, and ideation for new digital initiatives, pilots, and improvements to client marketing initiatives.
- Manage campaign planning and execution (SEO, SEM, paid media, content, marketing tech).
- Interprets data (analytics, CRM, BI), derives insights, and makes recommendations.
- Maintains a strong grasp of digital marketing technologies and how they integrate into the broader marketing ecosystem.
- Supports new business development, audits, migrations, and marketing performance optimizations.
EXPERIENCEEDUCATION
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Requires ~8+ years of experience and wide-ranging digital marketing and data-driven marketing skills.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to unify cross-functional teams and streamline complex digital ecosystems.
- Strong command of search strategy, consumer pathways, audience mapping, conversion optimization, and analytics interpretation in both B2C and B2B environments.
- Executive-level communication skills: able to brief senior-level executives as well as discuss in-depth with client teams.
- Experience directing execution teams without needing to manage them.
- Ability to evaluate external vendors (SEO, OOC, SEM, CRO) and integrate or redirect as needed.
- Deep experience in PPC research, Meta execution, and retargeting
- Familiar with national and hyperlocal geotargeting.
- Understands email marketing and tools used to facilitate communications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and media databases (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater).
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools.
- Strong writing, editing, and AP Style proficiency.
