About the Role

We’re hiring a Director of Brand Operations to act as the general manager of our brand portfolio- owning execution, commercial performance, and outcomes across DTC and retail channels.

This role sits at the intersection of product, e-commerce, wholesale, and operations. Working hand in hand with our sales, finance, production, fulfillment, creative, and marketing teams.

Brand & Team Leadership

  • Operate as the general manager for our portfolio brands.
  • Lead, coach, and scale a team of Brand Managers
  • Set brand-level goals, KPIs, and execution standards

DTC & E-Commerce Execution

  • Own performance of DTC channels, including Shopify-based stores
  • Partner with marketing and e-commerce teams on drops, launches, promotions, and site merchandising
  • Drive conversion, AOV, inventory flow, and launch readiness

Wholesale & Retail Partnerships

  • Own brand execution across global wholesale and retail partners
  • Partner with Sales and key accounts on assortments, pricing, and sell-in strategy
  • Support relationships with retailers such as Pacsun, Nordstrom, Scheels, Buckle, Boathouse, and Winners
  • Monitor sell-through, feedback, and in-market performance; adapt assortments accordingly

Commercial Performance & Planning

  • Own brand-level revenue, margins, and operating performance
  • Partner with Finance on planning and forecasting
  • Review performance regularly and drive corrective actions across channels

Licensing & Partnerships

  • Own licensed IP execution, approvals, compliance, and reporting
  • Ensure timelines, deliverables, and brand standards are consistently met
  • Support renewals and evaluate future licensing opportunities

Product, Merchandising & Line Planning

  • Translate brand vision into disciplined seasonal assortments
  • Balance DTC demand, wholesale needs, inventory risk, and margin targets
  • Partner with Creative and Design on seasonal direction

Production, Operations & Delivery

  • Own execution from buy approval through final delivery
  • Partner with Production, Supply Chain, and Fulfillment teams
  • Surface risks early to protect retail launches and DTC drops

Process & Scale

  • Standardize brand operations across The Avid Group
  • Improve workflows and systems (Shopify, Monday.com, and related tools)
  • Build scalable launch, drop, and reporting processes

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in brand operations, apparel, merchandising, DTC, and wholesale/retail
  • Proven experience selling into major retail partners (specialty, big-box, or global distributors)
