Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Director, eCommerce is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and profitable growth of ROBINSON’s eCommerce business across both B2C and B2B channels. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ROBINSON’s digital commerce strategy, driving revenue, optimizing performance, and ensuring that online channels deliver a seamless, customer-first experience. The Director will oversee the eCommerce team and collaborate closely with Marketing, IT, Branch Operations, and Showrooms to build a best-in-class omni-channel business that complements and amplifies ROBINSON’s longstanding reputation for quality and service.

What you will do

  • As a member of the Senior Management Team, partner with leadership to develop and execute ROBINSON's e-Commerce strategy and business plans
  • Generate, analyze & interpret results and analytics to deliver data & insights-driven strategies to deliver top performance and achieve KPIs
  • Work closely with marketing to drive awareness (website traffic), interest (getting people engaged) and conversion rates (having them buy)
  • Provide input on website product selection, promotion and sale campaigns
  • Identify and support training opportunities for branch teams to support a complete omnichannel experience
  • Collaborate with the IT team to build, maintain and optimize e-commerce technologies
  • Work closely with the operations team to asses and plan inventory and establish distribution and delivery expectations
  • Accountable for the overall financial results (budget, revenue, expenses) of the e-commerce division
  • Lead and develop the e-commerce team through recruitment, regular coaching, performance management, development, feedback, and professional development opportunities

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in in business, marketing, digital commerce, or a related field.
  • An enthusiastic and energetic leader, with at least 5 years experience in a mid to senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated success (growth) overseeing the establishment and/or execution of e-commerce strategies
  • Highly developed communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present information to a variety of audiences
  • Financial acumen, with proven ability to build and manage budgets
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to engage, motivate and develop teams
  • Experience with wholesale distribution and/or retail is an asset
  • Familiarity and/or experience in related industries is preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or lighting)

ROBINSON values your experience and recognizes the contributions you make to the success of our business. Your starting pay will be based on the skills and experience you bring to the role. In BC, employees in this position can expect to earn $120,000 to $140,000 per year, with opportunities to earn more as you grow and develop with us. Your salary will be supplemented with monthly bonus opportunities, annual profit share, wellness days, RRSP program and a generous benefits package.
